This patch mark the first start for several things : 1. In terms of story, we move to the new arc as Nanami explained. The current patch is like a break for all the depression we felt on the story so prepare to get depressed yet again 2. In terms of gameplay, time stop will arrive. Any ultimate that has long animation or long execution time (e.g Capriccio) will stop the timer. This is a great buff for several characters 3. In terms of Meta, most original S-Rank will be replaced with slightly better S-Rank (relatively same state). Starting with Pulse being replaced by Starfarer. Personally, i'm not too anxious about this since the old ones are still relevant plus the leap system where the devs buff old characters. Now i'm back to brainstorming on "should i pull for Starfarer" because i love Pulse....
PGR making a grown man cry. I've played so many games in my time and have to honestly say the attention to detail, story telling, art work, community partnership, fan base loyalty, development, etc. That goes into this game. I've played all consoles and was a PC gamer for the first 14 years of my life. I'm a level 91 commandant that has been playing for just 6 months now and I can safely say - PGR is the best game I've ever played. This games absolutely delivers! Thank you!!!

Big spoiler of upcoming Chapter 18: Her Last Bow. You have been warned. Technically, this was taken BACK from EX-00 until Chapter 17, and the story is that Nanami and the AI Gestalt decided to "time-travel" by finding possibilities for humans to overcome Punishing. However, our sunshine was instead welcomed a tortuous, tragic and painful journeys and endings where the Punishing won and humans defeated in vain. Moreover, in some future prediction, new entities called "Awaken Machines", think of them as androids (which was accidentally awaken by Nanami wandering in the past) rampaged and commited atrocities (killing humans, leading to genocide, offering their organs to the sage, which is Nanami. A robot named Zero even had offered to her an organ from us Commandant in a possibility) to human, leaving humanity's survival rate to unavailable. However, throughout 86k tragic possibilities (many of them will make you feel pity for Nanami so bad, e.g Liv, Hassan, Nikola, Kamui, Chrome, Vera, Commandant and many other died, Eternal Winter came, Babylonia was failed to save in Chapter 13, leading to extinction...) w/o being insane (with Gestalt concluded there is only 0,031% chance that humanity will win over Punishing, which is very extreme), she finally got her answer from her future self, and she saw a happy and bright future where finally Constructs and humans are free from the shackles of Punishing (however there's no Commandant yet, likely we have died during the war). Thus, Nanami didn't give up and will try her best to give her dear humans the brightest future she could, in exchange that: she has to leave Earth, to seek beyond the space and she will control the AM, become the Sage Machina in case of them becoming berserk like in one of many possibilities she saw. Then at the end, it was her to inform The Merciful One/Ishmael (the pink haired Construct) to awaken Commandant-in-coma so they can save Liv (which they actl did in this main timeline, so technically, our Mecha Nanami is the real savior for Liv and many others). 3:523:523:52 Nanami, thank you, for being the best fricking plot twist in PGR! 3:52

And she succeeded, Ishmael agreed to her and awaken the Commandant through a coma in a dream in Chapter 17, it was all Nanami's asking for help! And thanks to Commandant, Liv was saved and future changed instead of Liv died. The next patch, The Ark Beyond, continues with Haicma's past and Nanami's action to stop the Awaken Machines/Mechanoid from rampaging Earth by sacrificing her freedom into becoming the Sagemachina.
