Don't Try To Be My Friend! Cat's Tearful End After Losing Trust in Humans
In the bustling seaside city of Virginia Beach, a scruffy, malnourished stray cat named Tom wandered the streets every day in search of food. His fur was matted and dirty, his eyes weary and cautious. Life had not been kind to Tom, and he had grown wary of humans. He was a fixture in the neighborhood, a ghostly presence that darted between shadows, avoiding any attempts at contact.
Katie Cats Sims, a dedicated animal rescuer, had noticed Tom months ago. She had a soft spot for animals, especially those in distress, and Tom’s plight tugged at her heartstrings. Every day, she would leave food out, watching from a distance as Tom cautiously approached and devoured the meal. She knew earning his trust would be a slow, painstaking process.
Katie began her mission to rescue Tom with quiet determination. She spent hours observing him, learning his patterns, and understanding his behavior. She kept her distance at first, letting him become familiar with her presence. She spoke to him softly, her voice a gentle murmur meant to soothe and reassure. Each day, she would inch a little closer, her patience and persistence unwavering.
Weeks turned into months, and gradually, Tom’s wariness began to fade. He started to associate Katie’s presence with the promise of food and safety. The hunger and curiosity got the better of him, and he took a cautious step forward, then another, until he was close enough to take the food from her hand.

My heart goes out to this sad, yet beautiful cat. I’ll never get used to seen animals being abused by the cruelest of humans. They should be locked up!!! I thank all (including knowledgeable vets) who helped in the rescue of this very needy cat assuring it a permanent, safe and loving home.
I've rescue 12 cats from my backyard. We recently lost our Grayson but every cat we have is loved and taken care of.
This was a beautiful story because I know it look us a year with 3 of our furbabbies from gaining their trust another year bringing them in the house.
What happened to his ears, poor thing. Well your in the hands of love now. Thank you for saving that poor cat.

He's a scottish fold whose ears didn't quite form correctly.
I'm wondering if his breed is Scottish fold as he has ears but they seem flat against his head. I don't know of any other breed that has the same plus he is am old warrior and his ears ahoq signs of Tom fights also.

Frostbite. Its what happens when cats spend winters outdoors with no shelter. They slowly lose their ears.

@@Cindy-su9vz Oh my gosh. I was crying so much because I realized that he did, in fact, pass away. I’m amazed at how quickly I fell in love with this precious baby. This is the very first time I’ve ever seen or heard about Tom-Tom. I was thanking Katie out loud for taking care of him and giving him the good life that he so very much deserved. Watching his journey made me cry because I started thinking about all of the other kitties out there just like Tom-Tom who deserve to have a home with lots of love, security, warmth and happiness. This is beautiful.
I took in a feral cat with no ears and he just did not want to be friends. So anyway I ended up getting a pair of twin boy kittens. As soon as he saw them he changed. He became like a surrogate dad and he was so kind and gentle with them. I guess he realised I wasn't a threat and he just randomly walked up to me and cuddled against me. It was a tear jerking moment for sure. Sadly though after gaining his trust I took him to the vet where I discovered he was terminally ill. I lost him a few weeks later. His name was Vinnie. He is survived by two beautiful boys who gave him love in his final days. He will never be forgotten.

Looks like ear infections, strays have a hard time with them.
Cats living outdoors in cold, northern regions often have parts of their ears frozen off.
I wish more people will do what you did. Just provide them with food, shelter and love. Pls rescue a cat if you can, those reading this.❤

I watchet this entire video and it seems that Tom Tom is still alive. I also saw the Dodo video short about this cat and there's nothing saying that Tom passed away. So, I assume the title of this video is incorrect.
*All* these videos have a "tearful end" or a "tearful fate". Nice stories, but some horrible editing (mixing "before" and "after" shots all willynilly), and clickbaity titles.
