This is RJ's most difficult song ever. Son House said 'then Robert brought out that Terraplane Blues , Jeez, we all admired it'. Respect to Tom for being able to play it!🙂
Mate - Serious! ...... Brilliant stuff man and thanks for sharing. I'm gonna have that on slow mo for time and a day man and promise to learn it... Thanks again. Big ups from the UK :-)
This is an example of why RJ is amazing a d how hard he is to copy rythymically this really strange different feels, time, dropped beats it's quite sophisticated
I learned this stuff at Sidcup Art School thanks to DICK Taylor (no not mick), and keef was no help! He'd turn into the corner so you couldn't see what he was doing. Hahaha! But Dick (Stones and Pretty Things) was so generous with his knowledge and technique.
I must have missed something..your demo was in open-F, but you said tune to open-G. I don’t get it. Why not stay in open-F…and yeah, you referred to 2 other songs, but why not just demo each song w/ whatever the tuning for each song ?
Why there are some good guitarists trying to match the RJ guitar style pretty well but no one trying to match the voice mélodie?! Everybody sing this song like the cliché of a white country dude trying to sing blues?! This is not what I heard when I listen RJ music... Do you?!
@@PlayCountryBlues Hi, Tom! Can you give me some direction on strings for my single cone resonator? I’ve been trying to dial in best gauges for combination of botteneck and fingerstyle - a la Terraplane. Always enjoy your work. Thank you.

Been with you since the "Guitar of Robert Johnson" days! 💜😁
One of the very best covers of this classic that I have heard in many years of listening to the pre-War blues.
Thank you for keeping him heard after so many years. The roots of Rock n Roll.
I've been listening to Robert J. everyday since I was 12
thanks for all these lessons Tom appreciated by all the broke people like me

Wow! 😮 Simply perfect Tom. BTW: I bought your PDFs and enjoy the perfect TABs.
Thank you very much.
Thanks, Tom. I wrote my own lyrics to this song and can't wait to get it recorded.
Thank you!
Thank you
Thanks Tom you’re rockin’ it

Real smooth! Can I have your guitar? I take donations!😁
Sweeeeet! That intro piece you play on the steel body, do you have tabs for that??
Thanks. 61 Highway, avail at playcountryblues.com
Cool video sir. What kind of strings gauge did you use here? And model of slide?❤
Light gauge strings. Diamond Bottleneck slide
@@PlayCountryBlues thanks man. 10s, or 12s? If you remember. Thanks again for your lessons.
Love it! Is that a custom made guitar or can you buy that model?

The tuning is the same…Spanish Tuning. No matter the key.
He tuned an additional step lower for the demo. But it's in open G and you capo at the third fret to match the original Bb recording.
Oh dear god. This is......speechless. How man devils did you sell your soul to?
Crossroad

I can’t speak for other players, but I am not a good singer. I sing as best I can. That’s the reason for me.
You are Great Blues Man!!! LOVE!!!
Thank you!
