- In this video, I am unboxing and testing the most expensive ASUS Z690 motherboard.
You will see that this motherboard is able to write and read on SSD NVMe at a speed 14GB per secound ( is amazing )
You will also see that i will test a 10GBPS network card.

I really don't care about the pricing, this looks really beautiful, also I wish mother manufacturers would make the 90 degree angle 24 pin power port standard across all performance motherboards, I hate that they are exclusive to super high end motherboards.
just a fyi. if you mount your m.2 in the first slot as in the video. it shares pcie lanes with the 2nd pcie 5 slot just blow the cpu and will reduce to 8 lanes for that pcie slot. this is the same for all asus rog mother boards. i.e you will need to use the third pcie 4x16 for your gpu.
How come with my wifi antenna plugged it, it doesn’t show wifi in the network settings
What is the 5th memory Slot???? What for?
Were you able to use XMP? I heard that you can only utilize XMP for dual channel and not for quad channel.
Heard the same too! I think it's a bug in the BIOS. Maybe will be fixed in an updated BIOS?
Installing quad channel on z690 extreme-- noob status confirmed XD
Were u guys able to find a fiz
Case please ?
What case are you using?
I would like to ask, did you have a problem with turning on the PC for the first time? I have the same motherboard and it still shows me code 55. I don't know what to do anymore. Thanks for your answer
my godess motherboard
that speed.....
SSD NVMe
I think it has a ram cache that's why it's fast.
@@noone5014 It's software RAID 0 for the two 1TB NVMe drives in the DIMM.2.
He also made a mistake in placing a 980 PRO Gen4 drive on the motherboard's PCI 5.0 M2 slot. On this motherboard this disables the second PCIe 5.0 x16 slot and makes his GPU run at x8 instead of x16.
Doesn't make a lot of sense considering he has two more PCI 4.0 M2 slots - which do not interfere with the bandwidth available for the graphics card - right under the PCIe armour, and that installing a Gen4 NVMe drive on a PCI 5.0 M2 slot won't make it any faster.
Deserves gloves.
@King Kazama Put two of the NVMe drives on the DIMM.2 and the other (boot drive) on M.2_2.
Where you able to get your GPU to run at x16? I cant for the life of me get the gpu to run at full speed with two(2) m.2's. I use the second and third slots for the drives
Should be zero reason why it wouldn't. Do not use the first m.2 slot, only the second and third along with the DIMM expansion, and there will be no lane-stealing from the GPU slots whatsoever. Regardless, it's not common for a GPU to be at 100% utilization if that's what's confusing you. Utilization does not mean how much effort the GPU is giving. It means how much of the GPU is being demanded to suffice the graphical load. If your GPU is always 95-100%, you have a bottleneck and need an upgrade.
@@ArcticSniper1000 I dont use the 1st M.2 slot at all and can only get gen4 x8. I just gave up at this point.
I had to RMA the board and now it works
what is that cpu cooler
hey can you tag us what ram and ssd did you used?
So which one is better this or the hero version
this
8 GBPS ... okay then
haha same u and mb
Salut,Love it~ that's outstannding .see u around!Dvlpr. =)
Thank you:)
