    Why do we like watching this stuff when we already know this stuff?😂 Good info though, nice one 😊

      @grumpyauldman I think it comes from the same place as those shows that used to just film the inside of celebrities' houses

    Excellent advice! Do you ever do anything for the internal elements of the sheath?? (Dunno if that’s a daft question or not!?😂)

      @inforestsandlands  3 месяца назад

      @Che8336 it is not a daft one at all. It's something I pondered, too. But at the end of the day, leather is like a sponge, and it will soak up a lot from the outside. The inside then will soak up any excess on your knife.

    I looked at the adler axe balm and it said that it contains the following:
    - Linseed oil
    - beeswax
    - clove oil
    does that mean that the cloth also has to be disposed of since it has linseed oil or is it in such a diluted form thanks to the wax and clove oil to be safer to use if you're not as experienced with linseed oil and it's flammability

      Great question. Yes, it does contain a very small amount of linseed oil. But it is negligible compared to using it in its pure and concentrated forms. The main ingredient in the balm is beeswax which makes up the bulk of the mix with the other being the clove oil. Something inspired by the Japanese knife market as they predominantly use clove oil for protecting the steel.

    The knife looks better in your hands than on helle webpage. However i will stick with my laminaded vintage Mora

      @martlinnas regardless of what any a man uses. If he trusts it , I respect it. I worked for morakniv for many years and currently work at Helle. Can't fault any of the two brands classics.

    Very informative. But it would be a lot more visually enjoyable if we'd get to see the knife as it's being worked on.

      @channelone422 a very valid point 👌🏼. I ain't the typical content creator. I am an instructor. So still working on visuals in the video medium .
