    I am so glad I saw this because every video looks to good to be true. Ive used other brushes to flat iron and feel like they do not do what they say!

      Although yes I could have demonstrated better, you need to pull the hair tight and go slow, I still had similar results. Some wave, lots of frizz and damage. Honestly it's no better than a straightener

    Thank you for the honest review. This is so helpful. I like you, saw the videos where it was straight on the first pass. I thought it would be better than my GHDs. My hair is very much like yours. I actually bought the cordless travel straighener to take out with me as my hair very easily goes frizzy with any kind of moisture in the air. It is OK but it losses its charge pretty quick. You couldn't charge it and take away for the weekend. You'd be lucky to charge and get through an evening. I will think again about buying this plug in, my GHDs are better still.

      Thank you so much for your opinion! And granted I did need to slow down the tool passing through the hair but honestly it leaves my hair quite frizzy and damaged so I wouldn't say it's the best straightener ever. It's not bad but not great. I was curious about the cordless one so thank you for sharing

    You need to slow it down. Your moving it like your brushing it. This tool is amazing IF you take your time gliding it down from top root to bottom. You’re moving it thru too fast!!

    I think you need to hold the hair more taught all the way to the end. You keep letting go before it gets to the end. Just a thought! Your hair looked very pretty! Thank you for your honest review!

      Thank you! I did learn that after using a couple times that going more slowly and pulling it tight gives me better results 😁

      Spot on Jackandlill I don't have one yet but I am a hairdresser of 30 years. (retired)
      I'm going to explain this as best I can in Layman's terms Sherry.
      When you use a straightener you create pressure between the two plates when you squeeze them together and even more by the pulling down motion.
      You usually hold onto the ends too. This ensures a smoother glide down the hair.
      A straightener isn't going to straighten your hair if you just let the hair slide along one plate without the pressure of the second plate or the pulling motion.
      So you will get a better result with the Tymo by holding the ends of the hair taut and using a little pressure pushing the Tymo Ring against your hair and keep hold of the ends for as long as you can.
      I've watched about 30 unsponsored reviews tonight. The biggest issue was actually the styling, not the appliance. That can't be helped. Not everyone is a hairdresser and many people don't even blow dry their hair. Practice makes perfect though.
      The most important tips for straightening are.
      You need to at the very least comb the hair free of knots first. This will help the hair slide through easier. If you have curly hair use a wide tooth comb.
      You need styling products, especially a heat protectant spray. You might need to try a few different ones before you find one that is right for you.
      You need to section the hair. I've seen so many videos where people are taking sections as wide as and even wider than the brush area of the Tymo.
      Try taking a massive section that size and use your straightener on that section. You won't get it straight with one pass.
      If you're going to use any heat styling tool please make sure to apply a hair treatment once or twice a week.
      I don't usually recommend products because I was a Redken trained hairdresser but...
      In USA you can get your hands on a product that I used to order once a yeaer. it was a 1ltr bottle of Organic Root Stimulator Replenishing Conditioner.
      But you leave it on and it acts like a treatment. I used this for about 8 years and recently ordered GeorgieMaine, and I never buy from sponsored ads or the latest gadget or product that is getting rave reviews. What I love about Tymo and GeorgieMaine is they use everyday people in their reviews. Not models.
      I have been using GeorgieMaine since Christmas. You can not just se but you can feel the result after one hair mask application.
      I have their heat styling spray. it isn't sticky nor does it make the hair crunchy. Just started using their hair growth spray.. stay tuned.
      I have their shampoo and now their dry shampoo which reminds me of Puff me? little pink bottle that looks a bit like your spraying a find mist of bicarb soda on your air.
      I decided to write a long comment in hope it helps even one personl.
      Sherry please do another review when you feel like you really have the hang on it.
      Happy to send you more pointers and don't require a shout out or a mention.
      I hope this message is received well.
      Practice. Makes. Perfect. Good luck ladies.

    From many reviews and technique videos I've watched, I think you brush the hair too quick. If you did it too quick, the plates will not have time to reheat and straight your hair. Also, you did not hold the hair to keep the tension. I don't think the brush could hold the tension like typical hair straightener. This is just my observation though- I'm thinking about buying one myself. Love your hair. Xx

      I was told to go slower and hold the hair the entire time you glide down it but even to this day that method causes a lot of frizz and damage so yes please make your decision depending on whether you think this tool would work for you or not. For me, I only use it maybe once a month 🤷‍♀️

    You are going too fast and not holding the sections to create tension while straightening. You can also use the glove provided to hold each section more to the device.

  • @redridinghook5932
    @redridinghook5932 3 месяца назад +2

    Girl, you couldn’t be using more wrongly 😅 that’s not even how you should use a regular flatiron! You gotta apply tension throughout. 1 pass bottom + 1 pass over the hair section. It’s a great product, doesn’t burn your hair, not tons of smoke, no smell, natural volume, lightweight tool… it’s pretty good but without even knowing how to use a flatiron as a bare minimum, ofc it won’t work for you 😅

    • @SherryFaith
      @SherryFaith  3 месяца назад

      Actually, Using it slow will fry and damage your hair a lot so I'm actually doing it the better way. Also wrongly? Better check your English next time before trying to sound smart. It's also way different than a flat iron so you can't even compare them. What a useless comment haha.

    • @redridinghook5932
      @redridinghook5932 3 месяца назад +2

      @@SherryFaith This is OBVIOUSLY not a comb, you were literally brushing your hair with it without even making sure the whole section of hair was touching the device. English is not my first language but you got the message. Before giving a bad review, at least make an effort to use the product properly. I didn’t say this is a flatiron, I said that if you don’t even know how to use one, then using this one will definitely not work for you. Nobody passes a flatiron or any straightening device the way you did on this video, which tells means you’re doing it all wrong. Your English might be better than mine, but at least I know how to use such a basic straightener like this one.

    It literally takes me like 20-30 minutes to do my hair with the tymo I have the pink one. It’s the best flat iron I’ve ever used! Saves me so much time, and I actually look forward to doing my hair🤍 oh and I also have not had to section my hair to do it. I love that too, with the glove you can just grab each part and it still works amazingly well. I have lupus,fibromyalgia and Graves’ disease so often I’m tied weak and my body hurts so doing my hair was dreadful. I absolutely swear by this device. Easiest over ever used. It does exactly what I need to it. I have super long, thick and Frizzy hair too. So Trust me it works! 😊
