    There is another thing by the way. I am super happy to hear from other owners as well if they have the same thing: In The Netherlands traffic lights are operated by loop detectors, which basically are sensors under the road. These sensor not always pickup the Monkey! I am not sure if the bike is too small or too high on its wheels because the sensors just do not pick it up, letting me stand before the traffic lights until another vehicle comes to trigger it to go green. Do you have this as well?

    How long does it take for the brakes to stop that dragging noise? Mines a 2024 with 500 miles. Thank you

      @@jas350 I never had a dragging noise on mine but maybe the exhaust is too loud to hear that noise. Though I have a beep at the back wheel.

    Great video on the monkey, I have a 23 plate Grom with Leo Vince LV10 exhaust on and it can hit 70mph in the UK. I have the same issue at traffic lights too - all the lights on red while I sat there waiting. Get some bilt hamber wax spray for the underside of the front mud guard. Stock chain is like dog shit - very soft, but I love going everywhere at full throttle on the Grom 😁👍🏻

      @@KRAM-zb2vc Always full throttle on the mini bikes 🤣. I considered that wax but think the carbon fiber will look like a nice upgrade. I still did not purchase the carbon fiber fenders but will dot that later this year. And yeah, waiting at the traffic lights thinking about when the moment is to break the lae and just drive or do I wait for a car coming behind met to toggle the lights. Good to see I am not the only one.

    Hello thank you for making this video - its really a great quality video! I agree very much with the power… its a 125 and here in DK a 125 can have as much as 15 hp (like the Yamaha MT 125/Honda CB125) as a A1 bike license. So to me the Honda mini bikes should at least have 12-13 hp instead of ca 9.5 . Today I was riding in a strong headwind on a 90 kph speed limit road and when I was riding uphill in direct headwind (8mps) I could only maintain 80-83 kph. It should always be capable of going over 90 kph to not slow down traffic.
    I have found a guy with a dyno who can remap the ecu, but I am not to happy to do such grave change to my bike.. at least no yet. But if a remapping could boost 2 hp more, I would actually consider it.
    I used to ride a Suzuki Savage LS 650, single cylinder cruiser, and I totally agree with the drive chain, the belt drive is just fantastic.
    Thanks for sharing, and it seems that the 5 dislikes are so small issues that you actually had to scratch your head to find 5 😅😅
    P.s. I just bought a brand new Skyteam Dax 50 cc for my daughter as she just got her moped license.. 😊
    Take care, from Benny DK, your Honda mini bike brother

      Hi Benny, I indeed needed some time to think about the negative points but I got there ;-). Speed was the first thing that came in mind; after this the sound which I solved right away when I purchased the bike and the front fender issue is quite obvious. The 2 other thing are more like 'nice to haves', but hey how can you make a video about 3 thinks I dislike.
      Congrats with the DAX 50 that you purchased for your daughter! A friend of mine still rides the original Honda DAX 50 and he has tons of fun. I owned several 50cc mostly Honda's (Monkey's and SS50's) but also 1 Skyteam. Just make sure she parks it inside especially when wet; the Skyteams can be very rusty.
      By the way: ECU tuning sounds kinda good. But there also must be a reason these little engines don't run faster. Probably also to to with them being Honda's and they need to run a million kilometers at least due to the Honda sign of quality (LoL). You can also get a lot upgrade parts (from official brands) at Japan Webike; I also checked out complete engine parts here but they are quite expensive; but there might also be small upgrades possible; like you mentioned that the exhaust provided a little more zip, maybe the air filter mentioned will do as well and then the ECU et cetera. If you can get 2 or 3 HP from small parts that should be fantastic.

      Airfilter, exhaust and remap... that gives you 1-2hp tops. For more you need cam, bigbore kit... $$$

      Benny, two weekends ago it was awesome weather and there was quite the breeze. I was on the highway driving from Amsterdam to Utrecht and made a top speed of 125 kilometers per hour! I was fully bend over forwards so it probably was some fun for other cars on the highway. It did not feel safe though, the slower speeds should be fine with me. What sprocket are you running now, did you return to the old one?

    • @bennythomsen5974
      @bennythomsen5974 3 месяца назад +1

      @@NetnamChannel wow 125!!! On the Dax the efi cuts out at 118 on the speedometer.. but it’s so seldom that I am able to reach that speed anyway.. mostly I reach ca 115 max on the speedometer.
      I have gone back to the original 15 tooth front sprocket because there was no positive gain in using the 14 tooth sprocket.. but perhaps you can get a better performance with a 14 tooth sprocket because you have 5 gears and it might be able to pull more revs in 5 th gear.
      Good to hear from you my Honda mini bike brother 😁
      Did you get a second bike yet?

    ok het is natuurlijk geen motor voor op de snelweg .
    En als je een beetje tegenwind hebt merk je dat op een 125cc.Ik heb zelf een honda grom .
    En heb er bij mij een andere ketting en tandwielen op gedaan .
    Voor zit er geloof ik een 15T op en heb die met vervangen met 14T , en achter hetzelfde gehouden. (wel een iets dikkere ketting )
    Nu loopt hij iets sneller ! hij trekt in de laatste versnelling nu wel makkelijker door .
    misschien iets om over na te denken , is een goedkope upgrade.

    • @NetnamChannel
      @NetnamChannel  4 месяца назад +1

      Is ook zo. Ik rij dan ook niet heel veel op de snelweg, laatste keer had ik wind mee en reed ik rond de 125 km per uur en je merkt dan ook dat dit gewoon echt te snel is voor dit model. Toch 10 km erbij had fijn geweest. Ik heb gekeken naar de andere tandwielen maar omdat ik toch echt enkel een mooi weer rijder ben rijd ik gewoon veel binnen door en vind ik het niet waard om dit aan te passen, maar bedankt voor de tip. Overigens ben ik nog steeds super gelukkig met de Monkey; rijdt erg fijn en comfortabel.
