i'm working on tring to dial in my kit for a day on the water, balancing having what i need but not bringing too much...i'm curious what your setup is like. have you ever done a bag dump/gear review video before? cheers
Hey, I haven’t done a full on one. But leave it with me to think about. It’s a hard one though because it’s a personal and very confidence based this. Cheers, Tom
Thanks Tom. Hard to do nymphing in a fast current as you can’t see what’s in the water. Still have a feeling 3mm is light or I my line crates a drag. I’m new to fly fishing. Used to drift a worm with 1.5gr splitshot and it was deadly. But not good for fish as it often swallows the hook so here is the fly gear…)))
Good one Tom !
Spent a lot of time on the Yarra as a kid growing up, great to see it still produces quality trout.
Great video Tom!
Good video as always Tom!
Nice catch
Great fishing given that wind!
The awesome Yarra! From bream to cod to brown trout! My first trout on fly came from this great waterway! My first murray cod too!
Beautiful place
Good stuff, Tom. Was down there last week.

Tom remember fast water top slow water near the river bottom
have you ever fished lillydale?
Hi mate,
What’s your nymph weight/size? Tungsten 3mm or bigger?
Here I was fishing a 2.8mm and a 3mm
