I've played bass for over 32 years and sadly can never tell the difference whether it's compressed or not. I've played all over the U.S. & Canada & never used or owned a compression pedal. Not to say when we recorded or played live that the soundguy didn't have my signal going through one but I myself never had one. But I know that this particular compressor get's rave reviews as one of the top bass compression pedals out there.
I think this is an under the radar compressor - the EQ is tuned so pleasantly yet it's so simple to use. Really great tone without too much hassle.

I bought one of these...neat compressor, -30db max compression...attack is wrongly printed 0 - 10mls...it is 8mls - 27mls which is perfect...good quality compressor..this is the USA made model, more expensive than the ones with a wide large red stripe & no figures or markings printed around pots...i tried one...this black one is better quality....

Just cant hear any difference. I think around 2:50 mark, it sounded better off.
The title states "Easiest Bass Compressor", yet the video never explains the several controls or particulars to this particular pedals usage and desired affects.
"Easiest" bass compressor?
best thing about this pedal is it makes your guitarist completely silent, in fact it will shut him up so well that you will see him ripping mad riffs and it will take what hes doing and what you are doing and blend it so well that everyone will think you are the one playing all those notes. they will even forget there is a guitarist. this pedal was engineered by bassists so forget your guitarist and buy one of these pedals... before you know it your guitarist will be selling his gear and buy a bass rig and your band will go from eh to awesome.
maybe they will make a duel channel pedal and the drummer will have no choice but to sell his kit and buy into the bass world too... then all we have to do is figure out what to do with those annoying singers. dont get me started on key players...
