i really find this song can be about two very different things. It could be about finding yourself in religion and reaching salvation, or it could be about overcoming religious trauma and accepting that no one is going to be the perfect, sinless individual that they're pushed to be/learning that it's okay to move on from religion. it's so beautiful and therapeutic.
That's how I feel about the entire album these songs are from. As a queer person of faith myself, my trauma is something I rarely find an outlet for and The Oh Hellos have such a beauty to their lyrics, I'm truly grateful for finding them. God bless my friend ❤️
There's always a moment during this song at their concert where people realize that they can't figure out the downbeat so they stop clapping along... SO FUNNY.
I need to see these guys live!!! They're honestly my favorite alternative group alongside twenty one pilots! The one thing they both have in common? Their live performances are almost better than their recorded somgs
starlightdiaries I've been a fan of these guys for quite some time now. And I literally just discovered twenty one pilots yesterday. I agree 100%. Both are SO DARN GOOD.
I'm sorry but I just don't like this stuff, less so after seeing them in concert. I liked the music on the radio, but the visuals are just...uh...well...
Shivers from start to finish. One of the best bands in existence in my opinion.
I'll second that!
woah, Mustache really knows how to tambourine
He's a head banging tambourine machine.
If you have a chance to see The Oh Hellos live... DO IT, it’s an experience

It looks so nice, I really hope they’re still doing concerts ;;
Those were the days... 😭

I feel like the final line of the song really invalidates that perspective, especially when coupled with The Valley(reprise) as it often is
This is simply astounding. These guys are the best lyricists I have heard in a long time, and they play with such passion! So, so good.
They're so happy to praise the Lord...

Wow, what an amazing band! Tyler's voice is so full of emotion. I wish they would come to California.
Saw these guys last night with NEEDTOBREATHE. Let's just say they made me a fan.
I cannot agree with you more :)
just breathtaking. would love to see them in concert.

Saw them @***** concert. SO AWESOME
I'd give anything to see you play live! You seem to be living the music to its deepest and that is admirable!
Simplement extraordinaire. De belles voix, des musiciens présents sur scène. A quand le prochain album ou une tournée en France ?
This was without a doubt the best concert I have ever been to.
Love these guys so much.
I need more of the tambourine guy
just incredible!
Really I love......
So excited to see these guys perform in Mpls, MN on Friday! So cool that they sang Come Thou Fount at the end!
Amazing!!!
Someone tell Dave Franco to tone down the lip wings!
