20 years ago I bought my first Edifier speakers and it blew my mind with the sound quality comparable to $300 speakers but cost 1/6 of the price. I thought the brand would explode soon but to my surprise 20 years later it still not well known yet. I really don't understand why.
Looking for speakers for a home gym room. Elsewhere, I've been using Presonus Eris 3 E3.5 studio monitors for music production for £79 ...for the pair! Step up to £100 for bluetooth connectivity. The sound for the price, I find amazing. Neutral, to trust for mix and mastering, but you can dial up the bass to your pref. That's the route I'm going, but wow those rgb speakers would look great! Hilarious and brilliant review, as always Stu, TY
Yeah true, and the 128s are a great speaker (using them in my tv cabinet build at the moment). I do think the g5000 have a slightly better sound IMO though, and worth every penny if this is the look you want to go for!
@@StusReviewsUK And your review made me buy the speakers. I got the DB version though, which have a digital input and bluetooth. That being said, my R1280DB "forgets" the knob setting when changing cabled connection, or when the pc has been shut down. Thats quite annoying.
With you on the 'gaming' on the side. Great speakers that would perfectly match my setup but that tag makes them feel like a cheap tuned car + I won't be using them for gaming.
Thought it was me being picky! Haha! Glad someone agrees. Although with that said, you predominantly see these from the front so it goes unnoticed for the most part.

The "gaming" logo is a gigantic error. This is just like fire stickers on the side of a slow tuned car just to make it looks faster... This is cheap. This negate the real quality of the product. A brand logo, or even nothing, would have been better.
I love these speakers. But I 100% agree, the thick accent and the gaming text on the side really cheapens the speakers and lack of wireless control to adjust the volume is just unusual as most of Edifiers usually come with controls. Good review!
I have a pair my self now, very good looking and sounding aswell! ☺❤
I own edifier g2000 i paid 50 usd for them and the sound it has, i will buy always edifier speakers
Can you pair a subwoofer to them on the floor of your desk? With the Bluetooth 5.0?

They’re certainly getting bigger! They opened their first pop up shop in Paris this year, so it’s great to see the brand getting bigger!
Place a thick black sticker on the gaming... I agree with you on this one
They Look Interesting. I use the JBL Control One as Master Speakers on my Logitech Z 906 System and They Sound amazing.....

These look and sound amazing. But you can get 4 pairs/sets of the R1280DB for the same price.
