Where the American automakers gave up on coupes and sedans in favor of SUVs, it's good to see Hyundai and the other Asian and European manufacturers still making cars.
SUVs aren't that big of a market in SK or JPN. It's a small country and their roads aren't as big as US. Also the living spaces arent like the US where you can have a three car garage and your own driveway. Most people live in apartments.
Hyundai's been snatching up some legendary car designers for a little while now, no wonder they're putting out some gorgeous cars. This is by far the best one in my eyes, it's just plain incredible.
The South Koreans are going absolutely ham in their car design. First was the Ioniq 5 N now this?! Retro style but modern and absolutely breath taking.
i have to give kia hyundai credit. they are mounting the headlights lower than most vehicles. Even their SUVs like Sportage, Santa Fe, Tucson, Kona, headlights are low they are not blinding you when behind you. Ford trucks, SUVs especially, their lights reflect off the rear view mirrors and you can't see anything. But these Korean makers put their lights lower, much appreciated.
I remember seeing a Grandeur for the first time in 1992, on my way to Kimpo International Airport (now Gimpo). It reminded me of the first-generation Lexus LS. This car has come a long way since then.
Yes. That is literally one of the main reasons it doesn't grow in popularity the emblem has that misconception of how Hyundai use to be looked at but they have changed and became way to good of car makers to be looked at like that they need to get rid of the old and come in w the new everything so that old association isn't there anymore
I hate how it’s twice the size now. And seems if you remove it from the front it’ll leave indent marks. Which is done on purpose. They clearly love the emblem lol
Love the exterior design for sure. Seems very bold and non- derivative. The interior, however, seems to be a generation or two behind in overall execution. Sure it has the expected screens, but the switchgear and plastics seem to date the interior.
Amazing. This somehow reminds me of those Cars from the 80s which dared to push the boundaries and always tried something interesting even though it sometimes quirky.
@@hypnotoad8871 If this was 3-5 years ago i'd agree. Now its arguable cause I own one of these now.. it was this or a 5 series.. and honestly I chose this because I was extremely surprised with the interior quality and how they ditched cheap plastics in most areas on the car. - Has more interior room for the driver + passengers (sit like a king in the back seat). - Far cheaper than the 5 series. - All the bells and whistles as standard in comparison to the 5 series where everything is an optional extra. - 3.5L NA V6 (yes its cross, not ideal but as a daily not a deal breaker either). - Looks inside and out are just out of this world, its a beautifully designed car. - Overall bang for your buck is pretty clear. Final thoughts while owning it for 6 months, its extremely comfortable, surprisingly economical, has every piece of tech I would ever need in a car and I use them ALL. I love the disinfectant UV lights in the center console storage area, put ur phone in there, press the UV light button and clean bacteria from almost any object that fits there. Overall a very happy customer, now il revisit this comment in another 6 months to a year to see how its going. Always hated Korean cars due to terrible experiences, this car changed my mind.
Not crazy about the grill, that being said, I’ll absolutely choose this model over every American, German , and any other model, let that sink in. As it would seem…..this car seems to fill in all the questions you may have……it’s almost like someone decided to find all the missing pieces and put it in the car……yes it’s not the best looking, but it’s definitely stands alone, powerful and Grace.
You might want to rethink this. Hyundai have refused to give a customer a new engine; when the engine of the brand new Hyundai he bought failed. So much for their “warranty”. They blamed the customer for the Engine failure, even when he had nothing to do with it… And refused to pay for a new one. So, what does that tell you? Hyundai are unreliable. Hyundai are crap.
This is a truly beautiful car. Hyundi would be crazy to not bring the Grandeur to the states. This is the right car at the right time. They should bring it to the states ASAP.
I’m IN LOVE!!!!!!!🤩❤. It’s Something SO Futuristic… Like Knight Rider times 10!!!! This Ride is for A Rocket-man or Woman!!(like me😉). HYUNDAI Has COME a LONG WAY!!!!Thank You🫡 Hyundai!! Love you 🥰
At 01:58, the badge on the rear bumper reads ORGars, instead of ORGCars. It is either a typo on their part, or they have seamlessly merged G and C. the inner folding portion of the letter G is slightly dulled to give this effect. Masterful!
Now this is a car that pulls off the look the 2024 Hyundais have. With cars like the Elantra and Sonata I easily prefer the look of the 2023 exterior design.
It reminds me of a Rolls-Royce phantom with that third B pillar window. Just a little bit smaller. That’s what it reminds me of. It just doesn’t have that big front grill like the Rose Royce.
Nice car. There's something a bit Lincoln-ish about it. Maybe it's just the wheels. It does look like it needs to be lowered a fraction, it's just sitting a bit too high. And the key fob is stupidly large. That needs to go for sure.
Damn, that exterior looks good. It seems to have bits and pieces off the G90 but not quite as nice of an interior as far as designs and materials, although still quite nice. I'm not sure where it stands compared to the G80 and G90 but I'd be tempted to get one if it was in North America.
Everything about the design of this car (including the "futuristic" music) looks like it was designed in the 80s, thinking this is what cars will look like in 2023.

A Beautiful interior with a steering wheel that will make you hate your purchase. If came into production.
It's got an incredible side profile. Looks vintage yet ultra modern
So that's where the Saab designers went
I completely agree. Like 1980 with a modernized kit. I predict this model will be a big hit in Atlanta and inner cities

This Grandeur would go so well, head to head with the Toyota Crown sedan in the North American market
The headlights are too low. In a snow or gravel road, they will easily get messed up.
