Morning guys! Hope your Thursday is awesome! This has been a busy but good week for me. My best mental week so far! Making a lot of progress and cant wait to share with you this journey to health. I wanted to drop my "anxiety health journey"on the 10th for World Mental Health Day, but I just do not have time to get it finished. I want it to bee powerful and inspirational. So I do not want to rush it at all. But I promise its coming soon. And again it will bot replace a vlog, but bee can extra vlog. I just want people to see you can overcome and you can follow your dreams even when you are struggling. With that said I also hope you enjoy Lori's meeting of Drogo! He is such a cutie and I can not wait to meet him myself in the next couple of weeks! Still a lot of work to do, but it will be so worth it when we get him here and have him slowly settle in. Probably will be at east a month or more of acclamation before we will have any interaction for the public. We want to take it slow and steady and make sure he is settled and happy before we add any stress. Regardless have an amazing day and be grateful for something today! Love you all! Brian

Instead of having Drogo (btw, hilariously ferocious name for a sloth, A+) cooped up in that room all the time, maybe you could build a suspended "sloth highway" close to the ceiling around the entire facility so he can wander around. Slowly. You could turn it in a foraging activity for him by hiding treats and food along the different branches to keep him busy and prevent boredom. And how cool would it be for guests to just look up and see a sloth peering down at them like Mr. Magoo? Also, I might be wrong, but I read somewhere that they only scoot down from the canopy to poop once a week, so nobody will be unexpectedly getting a very unfortunate new hat. Peeing might be a problem. That's one I don't know. Something to consider, anyway! Mammals seem to suffer much worse effects from being deprived of enrichment and stimulation than reptiles, and you're getting better about enriching your reptiles' lives, so I hope Drogo gets the VIP pampering treatment.

Love this idea CLD have it leeding out from his enclosure like a air conditioning size hole for him to get out then loops bak in so he can freely come and go from his enclosure so when get visitors he CLD either b at home or out for a wonder.

I'm thinking Drogo's enclosure should be where Matilda is or where Ditty and Dixie are in the front window where he can get real sunlight. I think you should really move one of them and give Drogo a window enclosure. Think of what's best for him.
Glass filters out UVA/UVB so it wouldn’t do anything
@@matthewtracy8720 approximately 40 percent of UVA sunlight will be blocked by a window, 60 percent still comes through.
I tnink itnis so important for them to habe a out side set up for them but how would they do that when they are next to a main road.

Being as he has outdoor space at his current home, will you provide him with some kind of outdoor space weather permitting?
I was thinking the same thing. I don't think he should only be kept indoors. It's cruel😢
John Reilly completely agree! That poor sloth having to give up that beautiful outdoor space for a cramped indoor artificially lit glass cage. The seller clearly doesn’t have the sloth’s best interests at heart...money talks. It doesn’t matter how good your intentions, how much research you do and how much you think you are prepared, putting the animals’ happiness first should be his priority.
that would be nice, with weather permitting but you also have to think about the sloth is coming in from a country area and moving into a city where there is politiion of the air from traffic and then depend were the outside cage can be like behind the store then you have to worry about it being stolen and tease or torture by people. Because there well be people who are just that way. God For Bid It.

So we don’t know why the seller is rehoming the sloth.
Also, the sloth dosen’t have much enrichment in the gazebo. We only saw a brief glimpse into its current situation and only have our imagination to tell us what the new on will be like.
I am not 💯 on either side. Because we don’t know what the alternative is for Drogo long term.
Was he rescued in the wild and then too domestic to return?
I do think moving him from an outdoor enclosure to indoor seems sad.
But more enrichment, more interaction, better stability may be in the best interest of the sloth.
I pray that Brian does what is best, and I fell that is he does get overwhelmed caring for it, he would rehome it.
A zoo near me got a sloth, and it had to find it a new home because they were not able to give it a good enough life.
I would hate to see it happen to another sloth too. But I am hopeful Brian made sure he can get enough food and supplies and can offer him enrichment.
I have a concern about the Sloth coming to you. He is use to being outside getting fresh air and sunshine , How is he going to get that shut in a room all day long at your reptarium ?? X
I bet Drogo is thrilled to be going from an outdoor enclosure to living in a closet.
It would be cool if they could build him a big outdoor enclosure in their backyard for summer then he could go to the Reptarium in the winter.

Sloths are so cute that if even anyone doesn’t like them at first . After spending some time with them they start loving them❤️🥰.

@@xim_chino that would be cool but they are too hard to feed. Only eat eucalyptus leaves and the leaves have to be attached to the branches or they wont eat them. I learned that after the fires wiped out a big part of their population. I sure hope they are not "functionally extinct" like the scientists were saying. Lets all say a little prayer for the koalas and hope their species survives.
I always thought adding a sloth to the Reptarium was a great idea. But seeing Lori’s face and watching her absolutely fall in love with Drogo was beyond perfect. I loved her reaction to him. I absolutely can’t wait for his arrival. I love sloths so much! I’m certain Drogo will be a part of your family and y’all are gonna have a hard time not bringing him home with you every evening. I have had my share of wild animals turn into house pets from ppl that thinks it’ll b cute to b able to show this animal off... maybe I wouldn’t b so against it if I was to c it’s enclosure...but u should not keep such an animal in a total indoor enclosure...it’s will slowly wither away n die

Ten Dragons it makes me really sad to realize that’s the truth. i loved this family and the reptarium but seeing it’s all about the profit and views instead of the animals happiness is disappointing. i just hope this isn’t like how he kept getting a new two headed reptile every time the one he has passes away.

No it isnt. And a sloth that lived outside will be thrilled inside in such a small room. The care isnt easy an hell expensive.

Most people on these comments Must not on animals at all. I don’t know how anyone can think of bringing a sloth from that beautiful outdoor enclosure with sunlight into a strip mall in Detroit could possibly be a good idea. This is all about him being selfish and what he wants and he claims he thinks about the well-being of his animals and I don’t see it in this decision at all. He has become all about RUclips and all about his so-called zoo and has lost his passion for conservation and for the love of the animals. This is a selfish move to keep the Vlog going have interesting content and get likes.

Wow! The sloth is ADORABLE!! 🦥 next you’ll need a female and breed them. Baby sloths?? OMGEEEE! Could you imagine?? (Sorry Lori) Brian I asked about a Milksnake the other day, and besides their ease of care, I am choosing that breed because of its bright colors. I just think they’re so pretty. But then today you showed a King snake that has those bright colors also. So which one would you suggest for ease of care? Hardiness? Friendliness? Cost? Size? Its called an enclosure for a reason. Sloths are in danger of extinction and also live about 20 years longer when in captivity.

@John Reilly Do some more research. Sloths are endangered because the tropical forest they inhabited is being destroyed every single day. If you think thats a prison cell I guess you've never been to a zoo where all they have is one tree branch to hang on to. Another reason they don't live long is due to the bodies of the sloth getting to cold due to the tropical weather.

I just watched "silly snake tries to eat my finger" from three years ago and I saw that Lori wants an Australian Shepherd! We have a three year old and absolutely adore him! Velcro dog, always at our side, loves to go on walks and is such an athlete! Definitely recommend!
