I wish you had shown how to reach the list page rather than showing the list page directly

Good point. This is the youtube channel that I suggested you subscribe to: Trader Talks: Schwab Coaching webcasts. Here's the link: www.youtube.com/@tradertalkswebcasts. Or go to: youtube.com, type in Trader talks, choose Trader Talks: Schwab Coaching Webcasts, choose playlists, look for Getting Started with Options series. Here's the link to that: ruclips.net/p/PL8a6s5nq1lPRcGlhhMLSqx1BK1rttI00R&si=DU4OoS7T0wUxg3Q3. You might also find the Trade Management Mini Sessions on thinkorswim helpful as well. Here's the link for those: ruclips.net/p/PL8a6s5nq1lPTEQmYbc6yEslQvWdqsu0N-&si=8F52tCmAiyk29jBR I hope this helps. ^Barb

In a long call vertical, if at expiration, the price is below the call you sold but above the call you bought, I don't understand why you might automatically be the owner of 100 shares. I thought buying a call only meant you have the "right to buy" not that you actually are forced to buy. I think I'm missing something.

Great question. You are absolutely correct. When you buy a call, it gives you the right to buy and you can choose whether or not to exercise that right, right up until expiration. At expiration, if the call is ITM (in the money) by even a penny, the broker will assume that you want to purchase the shares & unless you have closed out the trade prior to expiration, the trader will become the proud (or not-so-proud) owner of 100 shares of the underlying stock per contract. ^Barb

Hey Barbara I’m looking at option videos part 9/12 in the archives and the long call vertical you have listed, the set up looks more like put debit spread. Am I wrong. The long call is buy a call and sell at a higher strike price

Thank you for your inquiry. I reviewed the class and Barb illustrated buying a 172.50 call and selling a 175 call resulting in a long call vertical trade. Thanks. ^BC

I cannot figure out for the life of me when I click on confirm and send the trade automatically is in. I would like if that Order Confirmation Dialog box would appear like in these classes. Any help changing that?

Go into the upper right hand corner of thinkorswim and click on the gear icon next to "Setup". From the dropdown menu select "Application Settings", a window will pop up. Make sure the top tab is on "General" then from the left hand column select "Orders" There you will some boxes with check marks. Make sure the box "Show order confirmation" is checked, then hit Apply settings at the bottom and you should be good to go. ^BC
