    The Falcons led for 42 minutes and 15 seconds. And lost.
    The Patriots led for 0 minutes and 0 seconds. And won.
    That might just be the most amazing statistic of this game.

    I think the funniest thing about this fantastic game is that if these events were to have happened in a football movie, it be cited as unbelievable baloney. Who overcomes a 25 point deficit? Who makes a midair catch with 3 defenders on top of them? Who makes history by going into the first ever overtime in Superbowl history AND wins the coin toss? It's insane. Such an amazing superbowl!

    • @ascend3654

      That movie would rival Any Given Sunday.
      And on the final play ... they cut out all the music and the noise and slow it down and zoom in on the James White actors eyes. Then the ball is snapped in slow motion ... hes hit by one man ... you hear his breathing ...hes hit by another ... hes fighting ...hes hit by another ... hes pushin forward ... dramatic pause ..... HES IN PATRIOTS WIN THE SUPERBOWL!

      Not only that the QB's is falsely wronged, his mother has cancer, chasing his 5th super bowl, you have chris long the son of a hall of fame'er trying to live up to the name, james white the under side running back, Malcom Butler the undrafted guy working at pop eye's, Danny Amendola the old receiver that people say should be cut, makes the big plays at the end of the game, Chris hogan the lacrosse player the Bills didn't want, Rob Gronkowski going down and out with his back injury, Martellus Bennett's redemption, to show he's a great player, julian edelman the guy under valued because of the colour of his skin etc etc the movie would be unrealistic if it wasn't based on reality.

Hightower has always been money come playoffs and SB. The stop on Beast Mode on the goal line vs Seattle. The strip sack vs Atlanta. And the total beatdown of the Rams oline where he stuffed Gurley all game plus he had 2.5 sacks, 6 pressures and 4 QB hits. Actually Hightower and Van Noy together should have gotten MVP vs the Rams. They both had Goff pissing his pants the whole game.

    I honestly think Brady gets off in some weird way when he's losing by a lot, or counted out because he can then tap into that chip on his shoulder he came into the NFL with. He really is at his best when all the pressure is against him. Down 24-0 against the Broncos, down 24-14 to the Seahawks, down 28-3 to the Falcons, down 24-14 against the Jags, converted 3 3rd and longs against the Chiefs at their house to lead the game winning drive.

      I’ve watched hours & hours of replays of this game & never experienced that moment till now. I did see a clip that started right when Edelman asks Belichick, “Is it over?”, but the extra context gives you so much insight into Edelman as a player (Garoppolo jokingly telling him to shut-up was great as well).
      In these comeback games, Belichick, Brady & co basically turn into Doberman Pinschers. When Edelman stood up & ripped off his helmet after White’s TD, he went from full-grown Doberman to puppy, like Brady did in response to Butler’s miraculous interception in 2016. That wasn’t the Brady he met (& expected to meet) when he jumped up on him, tail wagging, for a celebratory hug -- Brady was still in full-grown mode, & kindly but firmly shut down his antics. Suddenly, Edelman was full-grown, too, barking & snarling at everybody around him, until Belichick -- who’s always in full-grown mode, happy, sad, & in-between -- told him it was okay to start wagging his tail again.
      I can’t believe how much happiness this team has brought me over the years.

    Tom Brady is quite simply put: the greatest quarterback of all-time. I was always a staunch supporter of Peyton in the Manning - Brady debate, but his consistency and work ethic are just something else. The man is a winner!! He deserves the success, I mean look at the receivers he has had throughout his tenure with New England and yet he still has them competing nearly every year.
    This is coming from a Giants fan too.

    Can the Patriots ever have a Super Bowl victory that isn't so close and doesn't give all their fans heart problems? I've been a fan since I knew what football was and I don't think my heart can take it anymore.

    • @drasticwillb
      @drasticwillb 7 лет назад

      The one against Chicago wasn't close. Oh wait a minute, you said victory. Well, I don't know how bad I can feel about it. 9 Super Bowl appearances. Celtics, Bruins, and Red Sox all have won titles in the past ten years. Here in Philadelphia, we get a title about every 30 years. By the way, along with the iPhone 8, Apple made advancements in monitoring your health on the Apple Watch. That way you can keep track of your heart health and steal signs at the same time.
