Beautifully designed soap! Partial gel doesn’t really matter, it usually disappears after a full cure. However, due to the hardness of the soap, I personally would not use a wire cutter on this particular soap recipe, I would be afraid of the wires snapping. The bars of soap look much better and cleaner cut with that knife. Well done Annmarie!
I have never made soap but really getting inspired to give it a go soon. I think this soap is the most beautiful soap I have seen you create - thanks for sharing your knowledge and expertise.
These came out very nice, I've been soaping a few years but I still haven't tried beeswax in my soap, because of how tricky it is. I find this video very encouraging.
@@freddygreyson697 Yep! My first order whith Bramble Berry was last month and it took me 3 looong weeks to get my order. Finally got it last week and had several missing items. When I called the company, I got the nastiest woman on the phone (Tara). I couldn't believe how she talked to me, when they were the ones who messed up. Finally got the rest of my order from them yesterday. One month later. Guess I can scratch Bramble Berry off my list of suppliers. :(
Nice I ordered once and I live in Canada so the postage was a lot... and then I realized your store is right below where I live! Aldergrove , BC hahaha
Anne-Marie is out here warning me that it's advanced and all i can thing is that i'm watching this purely for entertainment. I have never made a bar of soap in my life.
I found this calculator on the website www.brambleberry.com/calculator?calcType=lye and it said even if you change one fragrance oil to another in a recipe to make sure you run it through the calculator again as the amount could change.
What’s the feel of the soap with 7% bees wax vs. no bees wax or low bees wax? I heard high bees wax soap drags your skin when using it. That much high bees wax isn’t it dragging?
What a beautiful soap! 😍 I bet it smells so amazing! I’ve already ordered my fragrances for fall but man I want that Collection so bad!😫 Thanks for sharing!!
I just started getting into this and am subscribed. It looks so Awesome but I'm a bit confused about the soap in the video (the soap was poured then immediately cut) so did the video skip ahead? I don't understand about this gel faze, am I supposed to avoid it (how) and how to I know the temperature (can I buy songs type of thermostat gun)?
You are great! Clearly explained. We love your videos... you are perfect profi. I have a question, We can use coconut 76 deg oil or 96 oil or Fractionated coconut oil- for soap making. But can we use coconut butter for making soap? Obviously the other three types are different from coconut butter. If coconut butter can be used for soap making how to calculate the amount oil? can we use the same amount as we calculate for coconut76 oil? Thank you very much.
I absolutely love your videos and my first batch of CP soap was made with a Brambleberry kit, but you guys have to work on your lighting. The last few videos have been so blown out and white that it is actually hard to see. I'm excited to try some of the products in the new collection!
We recommend allowing this soap to go through gel phase. Because you're using higher temperatures and the bee pollen powder contains a small amount of natural sugars, the soap will get warm as it sits in the mold. When we tried to stop gel phase by putting it in the freezer and fridge, the soap still gelled in the center. Partial gel phase is completely fine - it's still wonderful soap. But it creates a ring in the center. To prevent partial gel, leave the soap at room temperature. Cover with a box to gently insulate - we did not find a heating pad necessary. Keep your eye on the soap for the first hour to make sure it doesn't overheat and crack. If it does, place it in the fridge to bring temperatures back down.
Absolutely! When substituting oils in a recipe, always run the recipe through the Lye Calculator again. Even if you are using the same amount of oil, the amount of lye necessary to turn the oil into soap may be different. You can find that here: www.brambleberry.com/calculator?calcType=lye If you'd like more information on how to substitute oils in recipes, check out this article: www.brambleberry.com/articles/how-to/art0074-how-to-substitute-oil-in-cold-process-recipes.html
One of our most basic recipes we recommend people to start out with is our Beginner's Cold Process Kit. You can find it here: www.brambleberry.com/shop-by-product/kits/soap-making/beginner%27s-cold-process-soap-kit/V700049.html
This soap looks so beautiful! I love bees, honey, & beeswax! 🐝 I also love make soap, but I've never tried cold process I find it entemadateing . That being said, could I make something similar with the melt & pour? 😊🐝
I watched Brambleberry videos for a year before I attempted cold process soap making. Brambleberry has so many great melt and pour recipes that its hard to break away and go on to bigger things but you just gotta take the leap. I have made 12 cold process soap recipes so far and they all came out great. You should go ahead and try...just remember that everyone messes up , thats how we learn and become better. You should give it a try. You will feel so accomplished and you'll see that its actually not that hard. Good luck.
I'm more confused than ever. I "want" to learn how to make soap with lye and have wanted to for countless years but lye calculators, percentages of I already forgot but didn't understand even After reading is leading me no where. If I actually understood (I don't have too much patience when I'm not getting half of it) then I'd probably buy out the company because this is what I really want to do so I'm suggesting a paid for online class where we can ask questions and get immediate answers And I'm SURE I'm not the only one that isn't getting it but badly wants to.
I like it but just FYI, this soap won’t be considered all natural soap due to FO there. EO with this recipe would be considered all natural. FO is derived of crude oils plus other things which are not natural at all. Petrochemical is not considered natural..
i like your knowledge and presentation but uhhhh microwaves? NO... not good not okay not even proper.... the people that reaaaalllly actually do this stuff are mainly on board with why electromagnetic radiation is bad... I want real method... why am I not seeing temperature control? I can follow someone just popping stuff into microwaves but I do respect your honesty with the example of what not to do but then you brush it off and just tell us dont do it too long or this happens... we need controlled method, shouldnt hot plates be the way to go? Im new to this but Im trying to get a hot plate? Has anyone used a magnetic stirrer hot plate combo? will that work for thick oil? they use it in labs so im reall thinking about it...

Awesome video!! I loved that you tried more than one way to set the soap.. to see the difference
I don't understand the technicalities of advanced soap making but I just like listening to you!
Thank you Miss Annee-Marie. I made soap for the first time two weeks ago and since then, I have educated myself. Oh, Lordy, now I think I am hooked!

Can you make a video on how to use a lye calculator for soap maker beginners please!

Beautiful 😍
What other oil can I use if I don't have borage oil?
What’s the feel of the soap with 7% bees wax vs. no bees wax or low bees wax?
I heard high bees wax soap drags your skin when using it. That much high bees wax isn’t it dragging?
That looks like a smooshed bee

Im gonna make a batch of this to sell at my Xmas craft fair!
Hello what can l use instead of borage oil? Thank you
Thanks.
Really amazing . Always guessing how good they smell
Can I substitute the oils with olive oil, coconut, and avocado oil??? thanks
If your oils are heated up to 130 to 140 what is temps of both lye and oils when you mix them?
Watch honey comb soap very interesting so beautiful love the presentation like creativity design from mylene makati city
How long do you usually put in in freezer?
Unfortunately the BB multi bar cutter wldn’t work for this! Too small, can’t handle a tall loaf
Does anyone know where I can buy this soap already made?

It's beautiful. I have a question, what about adding bee pollen to Hot process soap?
You should make a 50/50 water/coconut milk soap, 😍😍😍

Hi, Shall I use Neem oil 32% olive oil 32℅ caster oil 3.23% coconut oil 32%
Wondering what if anything adding beeswax at that level does for cure time? Does using beeswax possibly lower cure time?
Felicia Renz No

I tried making soap with beeswax a few times, but it accelerates a lot faster, and oil seperates, I'm not sure of the reason, please help...

Neat. I was wondering what a soap volcano was.
Can I use gentle quick mix ?

you know you have viewers from all over the world, right? :) will you please give quantities also in grams? ;).. not only in oz...
If you’re making soap, you need to know how to use a lye calculator.... plug % in there. Also, you can easily convert ounces to grams on your own.
Yup, LOTS of conversion calculators all over the internet, good to learn how to FIND a few(and bookmark them😘)
