First of all...they threw the ball cause there was two minutes and change left and the clock was going to stop even if they ran it, so why not throw and try to end the game?
Also, their defense had been good all season, had several starters out this game and had a bad game. If Cowherd actually took the time to watch games outside primetime games and highlights, he would know this.

I saw a lot of the same things. They need to get buttoned up on defense if they want to make a serious run. So many people were choosing them to represent the NFC in the Super Bowl, but that’s not gonna happen if they are letting opposing offenses do whatever the heck they want. Win a win, and that’s great that they won, but they have a lot of fix if they really want to win in the playoffs. Don’t forget how hard it is once January comes.

Lions defense had 3 good games and 1 bad game. Lions defense also got a bunch of ticky tack calls go against them. 12 penalties for 101 yards is not the whistle going detroits way. Defense was down our best DB in Brian branch and our best coverage LB. We won by 2 scores. Our defense gave up 27, offense gave up two. Most all year.
    Teams Collin called good defenses:
Houston- Most points given up 34. Second most 27. Their second most is equal to our most.
Minnesota- 29, GB also missed a fg and nearly lost after a dominant first half. Could easily be doom and gloom with them but they have darnold so Collin won't.
Baltimore- Most given up 28. Also given up more total points than detroit.
Buffalo- 35 points. Funny enough he gave this an exception even though this is also the first time detroits defense played bad. They even both played Arizona and Buffalo gave up 28, detroit gave up 13

Buccaneers also had a ton of weapons and are a very potent offense held them to 20.
Cards put up 28 against the bills which he said had a better defense, and then 41 on the rams. We held them to 13. Collin is being incredibly selective.
We had 12 penalties for 101 yards. You can point to the missed dpi that would've lead to points, but you also got to point to their drives that got extended on bad DPI calls that lead to points.

As A Lifelong Detroit Lions fan I have to step up and defend The NFC North Champions. Every NFL game is completely and totally different. In the end it's ALL about THE WIN. If a team wins enough of those and makes it to the playoffs and win there, we're now in The Super Bowl. I've NEVER EVER seen any of these so called experts go back and site a regular season game that a Champion won but gave up a lot of points, yards, 1st downs. The Lions beat an undefeated Seahawks team with a really good roster, HC, skilled players, and QB. That's ALL that matters. Lions QB1 Jared Goff went 18 for 18 and caught a TD. That's most important. In The NFL a win is ALL that matters.

They did this right in front of the 2 minute warning because they knew the clock would stop regardless if it was a completion or not. It just didn't work out, which is to Seattle's credit. A safety was bad in that situation. At that point it is very unlikely the Lions lose, but that puts Seattle down 13 instead of 15. Went from having to get two TDs with one converting a 2 point conversion to tie the game to two TDs winning just kicking PATs. If the DPI on DK in the end zone is correctly called that game gets scarier because they can score before the 2 minute with timeouts and if they stop Detroit on a 3 and out they have time to drive and win. Ultimately it wasn't called and the defense held up after, so it did not matter, but a safety was absolutely bad there.
Also, I would not hype up the defense too much against the Rams who were missing most of their OL and Puka. Lions are good but definitely have red flags. Collin was correct that Campbell is bad at situational football. He literally coached them out of the NFCCG last year. They have had good luck playing the Rams, Buccs, and Seahawks at times they all have a ton of injuries and the lost one of those games, one went to OT, and the Seattle game their defense got smoked. They need to play better. Goff was on fire last night and their offense looked great, but hard to play defense missing 4/7 of your front seven and losing another starter in the secondary during the game.

Both teams were banged up and Detroit's depth and big-play ability were the difference. It was another great game. I agree with Colin. Hes saying he doesnt trust them yet. Thats a valid argument. They looked sloppy against a beat up seattle team on the road and barely got out with a win. The offense played great but the defense is questionable. I think the Lions are a good team but dont trust them yet.

Detroit Lions D will show up when needed, when both the O and the D shows up at the same time ( which will be shortly) they we be the most dangerous team in the NFL this year. Yeah clean up some stupid mistakes but when all that comes together the Lions will be unstoppable.

Responding to where Colin is wrong 1. Geno is better than Colin gives him credit for 2. Buffalo doesn’t, San Fran doesn’t have a good defense. 3. Seattle was getting the whistle 4. The game wasn’t close even after the safety 5. Lions are a smart team 6. Crypto is the highest it’s ever been rn. 7. Jacksonville is not a tough team 8. They won and they were covered in green flags

Why do you think the seahawks fans should feel good about last night lost when they played new England they had to go over time to beat them and the Dolphins they on their 3 QB it took them to the 4 quarter to get 24 point almost to the end of 4 when they should have beat them by 40
