Just on the SD card, my A119 killed 3 of those "extreme" cards in about 2 years. They simply aren't made for continuous loop recording, where they are basically always writing to a full card. You need "endurance" cards, they cost more and aren't as fast, but they're made for dash cams.
Mine just arrived today - and for a new user, the install "instructions" are useless. Yours was exactly the kind of cable run I plan doing. Really helpful, thanks.
I put this camera on my list to buy at the end of the month. My wife just called and said a motorcycle crashed into the passenger door. Other bikers came and he blamed my wife, she was too scared to get out of the car. He rode off when she said let's call the police. Have ordered my cam now. Thanks for the video, I hope you drive safely and accident free.
My husband got me one since I have to do a lot of driving for work and I'm always telling him about the stupid/dangerous drivers I see. You didn't mention it in the video (you may not have tested it) but the sound quality is really good as well. So don't forget to read license plates out loud incase motion blur or the camera angle makes it hard to read in the video. It also protects you incase the other person admits fault before police arrive only to try to blame you later, or if they are threatening towards you.
Those clear windshield static stickers allow you to easily remove your dashcam. If you stick your dashcam directly to your car's windshield, you risk damaging the windshield if you try to pry it loose. You'll need to get a heat gun in order to loosen the 3M adhesive.
