Thank you Daft Punk for all the awesome music througout the years. This song is basically the soundtrack of my youth. As kids we was mostly fans of electronic music, but then the "Discovery" album came out with its rock oriented samples and paved the ground to rock and heavy metal for us in perhaps the strangest way possible. To this day its hard to imagine the existence of our band and our musical direction without the influence of Daft Punk!

2:22 is essentially the synth riff from Video Killed The Radio Star. And that guitar solo is so fucking energetic, just those killer choppy bending notes when it begins and into arpeggios it's so perfect for the song. Its so sad seeing this video and then watching Something About Us. He was such a happy go lucky boy. A hopeless romatic. He did not hesitate when it came time to save his crush and the rest of the group. He sacrificed his life and eventually had the opportunity to briefly profess his love before succumbing to his injuries. This whole series was by far one of the best love stories ever created.

You've got the amazing 70s/80s inspired funk/soul sample, you've got futuristic robotic vocals, an EDM beat, an awesome supertramp inspired breakdown and climaxing with an AMAZING synth/guitar whatever the hell it is hybrid solo that would make Eddie Van Halen proud,
It draws from so many different genres and blends them together seamlessly with a great song about longing, that's accentuated by the composition and feel of the music. This song imo is one of the most creative and perfect songs ever made. It's so, so fucking good.

And that guitar solo is so fucking energetic, just those killer choppy bending notes when it begins and into arpeggios it's so perfect for the song. They could have made it longer but that's the magic in it, making us want more yet it still being complete.
