I had my vasectomy when I was 22 after having two scares, in spite of being responsible (with everything that entails). Two doctors saw my age and kicked me out of their office on the spot without any further questions nor a chance for me to state my case. Third guy was awesome. Just wanted to be reassured that I realized it was permanent, and once I told him of the scares I had just avoided, he was good with that. Didn't hurt he himself had gotten snipped when he was 22. There are 22-year-olds out there that ARE perfectly capable of making a "mature" decision. And for those who aren't, perhaps the gene pool is being done a favour.

I knew by my mid teens I didn't want kid's. Snipped at 22 - single with no kid's - 38 years ago and NEVER a regret. A lot of people my age are financially bailing out their adult kid's or raising grand kid's. You can know at a young age.

i wished i had done my vasectomy in my 20's but im glad i got it done and i wished every male would at least consider it.
