LOL you forgot about "Forget me not" in February! Fun to see your projects!
Maria is a job well done. 🎉
Maria is beautiful and I admire your ability to stitch on 56 count! I also love the Prairie Schoolers. Good luck with the sale of the house. Looking forward to your next video!

Thanks so much. Happy stitching. Best, K
Stunning Maria is finish ! Congratulations 🎉
Thank you! 😊
Maria is fabulous!!!
What an accomplishment to finish Maria! And on 56 count...whoa. Don't think I could see that. Have fun on some smaller pieces and larger stitches. Wishing you luck with your house sale. Happy stitching.
Thank you so much for your kind comment. I certainly couldn't do it without my light/magnifier. See you again soon. Best, K
Thanks, Karen for another great video. And thanks for showing how you organize your wips in the Fat Quarter Shop Cross Stitch Journal. It makes so much sense, and I plan to keep track of my wips that way, and hopefully I will get some old projects finished! Good luck with your open house.
Thank you so much for letting me know that my video has given you an idea that might work for you. It really works for me. See you again soon. Best, K
Maria looks fantastic!! Congratulations! Your PS all look wonderful. The piece with what look like Cedar Waxwing birds is very pretty. You've got lots of stitchy plans ahead. Don't we always have something to keep us busy. Hope the open house proves successful. Take care, and happy stitching, Arleen
Thank you for your sweet comment. The bird project is Strawberry Birds from The Blue Flower. Fingers crossed on the house. Best, K
Roll out the red carpet!
Sound the trumpets!
Congrats on your huge, fabulous finish!
I've enjoyed watching your journey on this piece.
I love that Blue Flower design, its beautiful.
After I saw yours, I put it in my cart at 123stitch.
I love how her designs are full of animals & nature.
Great start on Smith Sampler.
Goid luck with the showing.
Marilyn
Thank you for your congratulatory comment. I appreciate it. I love Jeannine's designs too. See you again soon. Best, K
I always watch your floss @ you are lovely Rosalie from Australia
Rosalie, Thank you so much for letting me know that you enjoy my videos. So happy to have you with me. Best, K
Congrats on your maria finish
Maria looks amazing Karen!! Love your plans and current stitching. Hope you get your condo sold!!!
I hope so too! Thank you for the compliment on Maria. It was definitely an epic journey. Happy stitching. Best, K
Maria is just stunning! Congratulations on the finish! I’m holding off on starting anything new that is large as we are starting to downsize and moving. Beautiful stitching on the Blue Flower. Happy stitching!
If you are downsizing, Maria is not a good choice unless you do it on a very high count of linen. On the other hand, it might fill up a whole wall. Happy stitching. Best, K
@@recoveringmonogamousstitch1947 it will probably be the Shores of Hawk Run Hollow since we are moving to the east coast of Delaware.
Wow Karen! Congratulations on all of your finishes. I am jumping all over the place like a wild rabbit. Crazy definitely not as disciplined as you!!😊
Debra, I would be bouncing all over the place too. That is why I work better when I have a plan for myself. I always feel free to adjust if it isn't working. See you again soon. Best, K
Another great floss tube - I started the Smith Sampler also with the Vicky Clayton silks so will be fun to watch the progress
How fun to be stitching the same thing. Are you a top starter too? Best, K
@@recoveringmonogamousstitch1947 - yes, top left
Maria is beautiful and I can't wait to see your progress on the Smith Sampler. I love that sampler, hope to do it in the near future.
Thank yo uso. much for your kind words. Happy stitching. Best, K
I really like your record keeping system. I just use a normal calendar to write my notes on, but I love how you use that book in addition to your book of days! The Strawberry bird pattern is lovely!😊 Congratulations on your finishes!!🎉
So happy that you like my system. If you think it is a good fit for you, give it a try. Happy stitching. Best, K
@@recoveringmonogamousstitch1947 It's now on my wishlist for my birthday. 😊
Congratulations on another gorgeous finish!
Thanks so much, Kim. Happy stitching. Best, K
So great to see your video - your pieces are just beautiful - it is a pretty day in KY today - enjoy your stitching
Thank you! You too!
Wow
Congratulations on the magnificent finish of Maria…. I am so excited that you will be stitching on Smith Sampler. I wish I could take credit for fabric color, but I had it kitted up at The Attic. It is a beautiful color choice. Good luck on your Florida home sale. Take care.
The Attic always makes great choices. I am still happy to give you credit. I am loving seeing your progress on the Smith Sampler. Very inspiring. Happy stitching. Best, K
Love your Prairie Schooler Santas! And Maria!!! Oh, my!!! Stunning!
Thank you so much for your kind comment. I appreciate it. See you again soon. Best, K
CONGRATULATIONS on finishing the stunning Maria. Beautiful 🤩
Thank you so much. Happy stitching. Best, K
Hey Karen, a finished Maria is a stunning accomplishment! Your plans look like more finishes quickly approaching! Best wishes on the the results of your Open House...the not knowing is the worst! Have a wonderful two weeks & see you next time! xoxo
Thank you so much! I appreciate your loyalty. See you again soon. Best, K
Always enjoy seeing your stitching, Karen! Your Maria is beautiful. I’d love to stitch her, but I’m thinking I could only go to 46 count. She’d be a big girl! Hope you had good luck with the open house.
Yes. On 46 count she would finish at 25.61" w x 11.74" h. That's a biggie. There was interest at the open house, but no offer. I'll be posting again on Friday. Best, K
Hi Karen.Usually l watch flosstube on tv & have enjoyed your work since you began sharing. l was very envious of your Mason Jar kit, but also knew that l would not tackle something that large. Today l found a kit (on an Aussie destash site) for just one jar! Hopefully they accept my claim. Good luck with the sale of your home.
Sounds like a great find. I also saw anther Flosstuber several years ago who broke this pattern into smaller parts by stitching separate jars. It can be done. Hope you get that pattern. Happy stitching. Best, K
Hi Karen, l found both patterns at Spotlight. I was surprised to find that the single jar did not include any stitching using 2 different threads. My result will not be as nuanced as yours, but it still will be cute.
See you on the weekend. 😊
Your Prairie Schooler Santas for your daughter will be a lovely gift! I stitch a few of the PS Santa ornaments each year for my kids, and I love doing them. Congratulations on finishing Maria, and happy stitching!
Thank you so much for your kind words. I appreciate it. Happy stitching. Best, K
Congratulations on finishing Maria, she's a real beauty 👏👏👏
Hope you get a quick result from the Open House.
I can really understand your need for some smalls. I'm stitching the 2023 & 2024 Modern Folk Embroidery Sals in rotation & could do with a small to finish.
Take care, best wishes from 🇮🇪
I love the big ones, but they can really get you bogged down, can't they? So happy you could join me again. See you again soon. Best, K
Hi! Oh 🤞🤞I was wondering! Wow awesome finish! Amazing! Wow that big on 56 ct! Ha 36 is challenge with magnification! Oh have to come back in the morning for the rest! Back, dentist today and now stitching and flosstube. Happy belated birthday! Oh that mason jar line up is a beast but beautiful. I started it and am restarting on a 28 or 32 ct. see you next time!
Thank you so much for your comment. Happy to know that you stuck it out to the end. Hope you get back to the Mason Jar Lineup. I am enjoying the experience of 14 ct. Aida, but you need to stitch on what you like. Enjoy your stitching. Best, K
@@recoveringmonogamousstitch1947 I stitched since early 80s and only on 14 16 then 18. Now I like evenweave but was gifted a kitted project and had 36 ct linen. So since I had been dabbling in 32 evenweave, I ordered 32 but then decided to try. My sweet spot os 32 but can do 36 with 3.5 readers. Had m cataracts removed and since then need readers even to read this and 18 ct.only 1.5 but now have glasses on, switching constantly.
Congratulations on finishing Maria Vincenza! She’s stunning! As a side note I don’t know if anyone mentioned this the IO in Italian means, I. So I Maria Vincenza….
I always enjoy your videos ♥️♥️
Thank you so much for sharing with me about the IO meaning 'I' in Italian. Now that makes sense. I would also guess that the other means that she was 10 years old. Happy stitching. Best, K
Maria looks absolutely beautiful! Congratulations on the finish. Best of luck with the open house!!
I found the Mason Jars to be a very easy fun stitch. I hadn’t done a kit before so I was pleasantly surprised. I got it done quickly (over a couple months) with it in my rotation of projects. I put my floss on floss drops including my blends. I got the pdf from Dimensions (I use GoodNotes). Hope you enjoy it as much as I did
Thank you so much for letting me know that there is a pdf available. I had tried to put it into GoodNotes by taking a picture. That was a fail. I will now try the pdf. That will be much easier. Happy stitching. Best, K
Donna, I have tried to find a way to download a pdf of Mason Jars, but can't find it. Do you have a link or a suggestion as to how I can get to that? Thanks, K
Your Maria is outstanding! 56 COUNT!!! Amazing!
Your finish is so pretty. I’ve stitched at least one of everything but have never done a red sampler. Someday….maybe. I liked how you managed to show your DMC color choices so efficiently. I have a whole lot of those skewers. Maybe I will remember to do that should I need to show DMC threads. I am pretty sure I have the Jar Line Up kit, too. Or maybe I have the one with just 3 jars. Hmmm. I’m not where I can go look. Either way, they’re pretty. Hope the open house brings in a buyer. That would be a nice way to wrap up your winter in Florida. Pam
Pam, It is so nice to hear from you. The skewer was a random idea, but it worked out well. I think there are several versions of the mason jar idea. One jar or just a few. I saw Flosstuber Barbara's Daughter several years ago show how she broke the big pattern into smaller bits. Hers looked great. So happy that things are going well with baby sitting. That is the best part of being a grandma. Happy stitching. Best, K
Oh. Maria is outstanding!! Good job. So, are you the shuffle board champs?? You have such great plans. I can’t wait to see your progress?
Susan, In a small enough pool of players I can do pretty well. Even playing in my own club, I am eliminated pretty quickly. I'll be posting again on Friday. See you soon. Best, K
Maria finish is beautiful🎉🎉
Yes it does look like monkeys
Thank you for your comment. So happy to have Maria done! I will always laugh at those flying monkeys. Happy stitching. Best, K
🌎❤️
Nice work (as usual). I saw a pic of the PS 2024 Santa, it's cute, yet not colorful enough for me. Fun Video. Good luck on the sale.
Hi Karen! Great video! I had to laugh because Jeannie and I just put up our 25th video, and wouldn't you know I have also started on The Smith Sampler! I had started it a couple of years ago when I tried Maynia, but I didn't last long with that! I think we would definitely be besties if we lived closer to each other! Great minds think alike. When we are in the "home" together, we will both have the Smith Sampler to look at, and they will be in different color ways to keep us amused! I am wondering about your monthly stitch schedule. You said you give your oldest WIP 7 days, then a red project for 3 days, 5 days on Forget-Me-Not, then what do you do with the rest of the month? I am trying to get myself in some sort of schedule, but haven't found one I like yet so I thought I would try yours? Thanks for the info! 😊
So nice to hear from you. Yes, we will look at the Smith Sampler when we are in the home. For the remainder of the month I do whatever calls to me: smalls/seasonal, new start, or a WIP that is not yet a focus. I just keep myself happy. Just see if you can find a system that makes you happy. If you feel too constrained by a system like mine, don't do it. I know that I work best when I have a set plan to keep me on track. If that doesn't work for you, don't make yourself miserable. Happy stitching. Best, K
I always enjoy your videos and seeing your stitching and quilts. Where did you get the pdf for Mason Jar Lineup? I haven’t stitched on mine for at least 4 years and I’m considering UFOing it. I may give it another try if I can stitch from a pdf. Thanks.
Send picture of your pattern cover with kit#, all contents of the kit, floss, pattern, fabric/or your current progress and request for pdf. Send to contactus@simplicity.com. You should get it the next day. Happy stitching. Best, K
Thank you sooo much!
