Why this series has never turned into a set of movies is beyond me. The story arc is epic. You have potentially great protagonists and antagonists as well as huge ground and space battels - what's not to like?
Bought this game on a sale, wow what a gem. Best RTS game ive played in a long, long time. Something about it felt, like I was in that land cruiser, sending my girls and boys to battle - with the possibility of them dieing... I cant have my people die, thats not what we do. We win. Haha what a great gaming experience, really enjoyed arty, and the fire not being 100% accurate all the time. RTS games need more of that kind of randomness to their shot, mitigated via training or experience in the field. Anyways REALLY wish these guys would do more RTS games, love their work.
Nothing can compare to StarCraft 2 IMO, especially story and gameplay wise, in first two HW games missions played similar as fuck and maps being literal space isn't an excuse. Well still before this Steam Summer Sale I didn't even know about HW, but now counting long two years till HW3 release among OG fans
@@MrKuriIIko Starcraft and Homewold are two completely different RTS experiences. Besides being games in the same genre it's like comparing apples and oranges.
Game was good. The campaign was little bit short. Started strong. With great animations, narration That every level you got less and less of that. Games like Planetary Annihilations maybe short on story front gave you far more things to do in the game.
Interesting style of play. I usually ignore the small combat units completely and actually also the larger combat units. I max out the Carrier and use that to fight enemy units. Build lots of Support Cruisers (Research Support Cruiser Anti-Air) to protect the Carrier health and exellent against Air Attack. You can put out fires with Gunships and Bombers. When the carrier gets to 5, you can start nuking enemy carriers and send in 3 previously launched but grouped as one, Bombers. Your eventual aim is to get 7 Support Cruisers just behind the Level 7 Carrier - not much will get past that, and just move forward. Max Range on Carrier at all times (to see what is out there) except when under close attack, when you prioritize Firepower. I never engage the Carrier Repair feature. Just a thought but you also might benefit from the Ctrl 1, 2, 3 feature to group your units. You can order them faster that way.
I think they were new to not Campaign settings; I have found that in PvP Level 7 is too much for carriers; healing nearby units is very good for Coal; but you went the battleship route.
Was trying to decide whether to pick this up. What the hell is their problem that out of the three trailers they put on the page, not one of them could actually show gameplay?
But the old Supreme Commander from 2007 has still better Graphics of the Units. But the Desert Graphic in this Game looks Awesome. And the Music is nice too.
The first and the second game where as awesome, i play both for a long time and the remastered version was even better. Im exited for the third next year
I played through this game yesterday. What was so annoying was that the Gaalsean forces always kept attacking. You accumulate your forces between missions. In the last mission I waited to kill the first carrier, allowing me to harvest a lot of CUs. You should have six battle cruiser for the Gaalsean flag ship. Hide after killing the first carrier. The flag ship will start to patrol a route like the Sakhala. Now, while hiding for the flag ship, hide between a large dune. Now draw the protective force of the flag ship towards you. After finishing them off with the orbital weapon, the flag ship will run straight for you. Use the batttle cruisers to finish off the flag ship with the orbital weapon.
