Pure class delighted for him and Munster sad to see him leave Leinster but when all 4 provinces are firing ya can only be happy for Irish rugby
Exactly. Leinster's loss wasn't just Munster's gain, it was Ireland's, because with him and Sexton fit in Japan and both first choice for their provinces, we'll have some serious options/depth.
Munster were immense and are serious contenders with Saracens, Leinster Racing for silverware by signing Carbery, Beirne and Haley. That said, Gloucester were pretty bad comparatively and Munster will face sterner tests when they (likely) make the quarter-final. As a Leinster fan, I'm delighted to see Carbery developing into a world-class player in Munster and can't wait to see what he has to offer in Red or in Green.

This is the biggest weakness of the Irish National side. The top teams have such athletic flyhalfs while the Irish are counting on a 37 yo man to stay healthy because Carberry is NOT a national side talent. He's a good player but dont even compare him to what the French or NZ have.

Give JJ Hanrahan that quick ball with such a poor defence in front of him and he’d look as good. The test was Chiefs and he came up short, yes he kicked three easy penalties, but he was otherwise completely anonymous. Contrast that with even Ross Byrne’s performance against Toulouse and you see how much Carbery still has to learn about being a 10
