one thing that people missed is what colin said: they (the goverment) pay people to pretend to be your relatives. meaning that this is not his actual dad or mother. the traumatization was a fake. so his mother is just like his dad and dr haynes, they faked it meaning it is an ilusion that this is his mother. it's not a happy ending, it's not peace. the toy ending is basicially just an escape, ending the circle of program and control after stefan changed his past (wich is also is something that proved dr haynes wrong, since she said you can't change the past, even though afterwards stefan died in front of her). it also doesn't allow you to go back after it. the only real ending.
@@marcrchz Colin also explained that there are multiple realities running its course . Whatever realty we chose to be real is our choice . I’m surprised there was no mention of the Easter eggs. Nosedive is the name of the social media episode. The binary symbol for choice/bandersnatch was originally from the white bear episode .
Another Easter Egg is that Thakar teases Colin by asking him if he's listening to Kajagoogoo, and then when Stefan goes to the record store, the song playing is "Too Shy" by Kajagoogoo. But maybe only an 80's kid would notice that. ;-)
You forgot that if you have Colin jump off the balcony and choose to bury your dad, either the neighbor's dog finds your dad's body or Thakur comes over and discovers you and you have to kill him too. And if you choose to bury your dad after you've chosen to jump off the balcony or go to Dr. Haynes instead of forcing Colin to jump......Colin discovers you at your house after you've murdered your father. And you're given the option to either kill Colin or let him go. Letting him go gets you another bad review and in jail and killing Colin gets you a 5 star review and still in jail. There's also a ending (that I don't remember how I got to, but you have to select the option where Colin jumps off the balcony) where Colin's wife/girlfriend Kitty goes to Tuckersoft and tells Thakur Colin is missing and something is wrong. And even though Stefan finishes the game, he still ends up in jail. And there's an option to type in the password Pax for the locked cabinet and you encounter the demon Pax who kills you. There's also a version of after you kill your dad, you go to call Dr. Haynes but you have to remember her number and it makes you type it in. But you get the 5 stars and still end up in jail. There's soooooo many endings and outcomes though. It's ridiculous. I played for 4 hours last night and got all the endings mentioned in this video (except for the secret) and the ones I wrote in this comment.
I also got the Pax, and the Colin girlfriend going to the office and to stefan house. :) it was pretty entertaining. I only played for 2 hours and got most of the endings. I would like to start again to see what else i can get but i have to work haha.

Awesome dude! Hey, I rewatched Blackmirror S2 ep2 "white bear" and couldnt believe you didnt speak of the connections between bandersnatch and white bear. First, Both movies start with the main character waking up from a deep sleep and gasping for air. Secondly, the next thing shown is prescription medication. Plus, The white bear image/symbol is shown often in both movies. Sorry for spoiling the white bear ep(if you havent seen it), but as we know, Victoria was sentenced for a horrible crime and her punishment was for her to relive the day over and over without memory of the previous day for entertainment of the people that paid to visit that park. Bandersnatch is the same and is for our entertainment as well. What if Stefan was a horrible person that killed his dad and the punishment for this crime was to relive the moment he went crazy, just like Victoria's sentence? I dont think he was ever a good kid. We were making him relive his horrible decision for our entertainment like "white bear". Netflix made us make him do something bad.. I hope you understand this. Thanks for this awesome channel!
The ending where Stefan dies in his Doctor's office kind of reminds me of The Butterfly Effect's ending (the one with Ashton Kutcher). Am I the only one?

@@jaydendantley7010 I accidentally got the number wrong :( the line just says something along the lines of "this number is not in service.." and Stephan hangs up and then he buries his father and the neighbours dog finds him and then prison and 2.5 stars.
You forgot about the fact that if you keep going through scenes that play the start where Colin meets Stephan, Colin remembers more and more and eventually says that they definitely know each other. I wonder if there’s a special ending tied to this.
It surprised me so much when, after choosing that Colin jumps off and after rewinding, he meets Stefan for the first time and tells him « see I’ve told you we’d meet again. ». It’s so well done!
Swmaron it was 25041. He tells the therapist’s assistant that he’s coming for her next, he buries his dad in the back yard and he’s then arrested and he gets another 2.5 star rating while in jail.
The 2 password choices you are given are not randomized. Two are defaults, and they get replaced if you flag a certain choice later in the movie. This goes for any seemingly 'random' choice, and ties in with Collin's explanation of parallel universes.
@@wolfydawolf5680 Some of what he said was absolutely true. Clearly not all of it, but if we operate under the assumption that alternate dimensions are real, then the concept is relatively sound. There is a universe in which I never typed this comment.
One little issue with your explanation.... when you take the LSD and go out on the balcony, Colin does NOT explain that if they jump off 'they' can just go back and go down a different path. Not at all. That suggests a singular consciousness which can navigate the multiverse. Colin does not believe nor suggest that. Instead, he explains that there are infinite SEPARATE versions of themselves progressing down all the different possible paths, and that the end of one is of little consequence because those others will proceed on their own. They won't 'leap' into any of the others, or get a chance to select a different path. Their path will end. But it doesn't matter, because all of those others still exist. It's quite a different philosophical view.
I ended up getting a pretty interesting path where Colin jumps off the ledge, and then the movie gets reset and when Stefan returns to the office, Colin has mysteriously gone missing but still leaves the VHS for Stefan to watch.
Dustin Rodriguez I would have to disagree because Colin does go missing for quite a while and Colin even mentioned that one you do in one path will directly affect another path. With this said your philosophical view would not be valid assuming that what Colin said was true because you are implying that the alternate paths are separate and do not interact with each other.
Actually, the two concepts run very similar to each other, both falling under the larger concept of quantum immortality. To put it into an easier to understand concept, assume a box with a button is set before you. In this box are enough explosives to guarantee your instant death, set to trigger if the button above is pressed and rolls a real-world 100-sided die(So as to avoid algorithmic patterns) that comes up 50 or higher. Now, assume there are two people in this scenario, one who is pressing the button and one who is watching from a safe distance. In the watcher's world, that button presser has probably died within three button presses, maybe four. In the eyes of the button presser, however? Solipsistic quantum immortality assumes that a person CANNOT die in their own universe, as the mind cannot conceive of what death is like. That guy could press that button for the rest of his life and never see the die go above 50. However, MULTIVERSE quantum immortality assumes a person cannot die for the exact reasons Colin gives, excepting that it is that one person in multiple bodies instead of multiple copies running around. So he will cease to exist in first 50% of all verses... Then another 50%... Then another... But the multiverse is infinite. No matter how many blow themselves to kingdom come, there will ALWAYS be an infinite number of button pressers, making THAT the concept of technical immortality, because after all... ∞/2=∞
I was controlling the character but I was also being controlled myself cause I was forced to take certain paths. Throughout the story I’d see an option continuously pop up until I had no choice but to pick it, like destroying his computer.
Midway through the episode i started thinking. What if I am being controlled by someone who is also watching me on Netflix controlling my every moves, who i am controlling Stefan through Netflix. I was freaked out
I think the Toy ending is the “best” one. But the ending with Pearl trying to recreate the game years later seems like the “true” ending. Also, how on earth do you get the secret ending??
If you mean the ending where you can obtain the qr code, you don't pick any song at the beginning of the movie, obviously it's done after completing every other ending
you have to let colin jump and play from there it's insane EVERYTHING become different, just play with it and eventually things will happen that didn't happen before and you'll be given options you did get before either. i won't tell you how exactly just try to figure it out but letting colin jump is the key to everything
Since you are timed and presented with 2 choices, I figured that not choosing would still be a choice. By literally never choosing, I was able to go through most endings. Once I got to the "secret" ending (where Stefan listens to the bandersnatch tape) it cut directly to the credits, not giving me the "it's rewind time" option. So funnily enough you can enjoy a big chunk of this interactive movie by just watching it like you would every other movie.
Colin was working on his suicide hence the game Nohzdyve 😂😭💀(edit) thx for so many likes😭😊 and to all you guys in the comments he knew if he jumped he’d die he just believed that once his timeline self would die he’d take over the other timeline where he didn’t jump. But either way he was committing suicide he knew he’d die either way if he did go to a new timeline/reality that version of himself was going to die
I was convinced there was going to be an ending where we discover he was actually on lsd the whole time. The feeling of “not being in control” is prominent in acid and hallucinogens, and the creator of bandersnatch was also said to have been on hallucinogens. Just a thought 🤷🏻♀️
I've gotten every ending for Bandersnatch, and all except one have allowed me to go back and try another or exit to credits. The only one that didn't was Stefan going back in time to alter the past and cause his own death. In that ending, I could neither go to the credits or replay from a different point, the credits just rolled by themselves, so while I believe that all the endings are technically the "true" ending, the ending where he simply ceases to exist and removes himself from all timelines is the *real* ending, as it breaks the cycle of the infinite timelines by never allowing them to exist in the first place.
I hated how all my options were wrong lol, like I always tried to make him stop playing the game and destroy the pc and have a normal life but no netflix wants us to kill people lol
OK, the one that took me forever to get to was one where you elect to have Colin jump...he dies but before he jumps he says, "Fair enough, see you around"....the hard part was THEN selecting the sequence that results in resurrecting Colin, and I found it where Stephan then goes back and meets Colin for the first time and now instead of the two previous introductions between the two ("Hello", and "haven't we met before") to Colin saying "I told you I'd be seeing you around". This version was very satisfying to me because it vindicated Colin as a visionary rather than a deceived hippie.
i chose thst but there was an option there that said " Try to explain" but i can find anybody else even these reviews thst mention it ! im.so curious to know that one but can't find it anywhere
The safecode options are not random. JFD and PAX are placeholder options that appear if you haven't made the choices necessary to unlock either of the two codes that actually open the safe. PAC becomes available if you take drugs with Colin, since he tells you that Pac-Man stands for "program and control." TOY becomes available if you talk about your mum's death in your therapy session and choose the photo over the book, triggering the dream-flashback where you learn your dad put the toy in the safe.
Another secret ending is when you pick the family photo and when it Gives you the option to pick the family photo chose it and there should be another ending

15:23 "Programmer confesses as dad found in 8-Bits" That's so funny. A decade later or so, it would've been 16-bits, today his father would be 64-bits.
Huh there's a secret ending? I ended up getting the ending with my friend the first time through. You just get it after playing through the official endings. Pretty sure this is all you have to do but correct me if I'm wrong: The one where you accept the offer and stefan makes the decision to go back. Get the overmedicated ending at some point, and then don't go back, instead follow collin. whether you take the drug from Collin willingly doesn't matter. Have him jump off, you can try the choice of stefan jump off but you have to go back and have him jump off. Kill dad. Bury the body. Get the fail ending for that? Chop the body up instead. 5/5 stars for Stefan's game Bandersnatch ending/Pax ending. Get the P.A.C.S conspiracy ending. The take the train ending is the final ending. Which then leads you to the secret ending after the credits. The main endings are probably as follows and probably need to get in that order for secret ending? 1.Accept offer ending 2. Overmedicated ending 3. 5/5 Bandersnatch/Pax ending 4. P.A.C.S conspiracy ending 5. Take the train ending I believe take the train ending is the proper ending given that it there are full screen credits for it.
@@tavimoddel260 Stefan takes the medicine and finishes the game, but his creativity is dulled and it gets 2.5 stars. You only get the option to take the pills if you didn't go on the drug trip with Colin.
The 5/5 Bandersnatch ending is also an "official" ending as it has full credits as well. After you choose whether adult Pearl pours coffee over her computer or destroys her computer (doesn't matter as either one will trigger a glitch on your screen and roll credits) the credits start rolling on a black screen.
I've been playing the movie for a about an hour and paused it after finding myself in a stump around the time the guy starts asking whose there. At first I tried to tell him netflix and tried to explain but he obviously didn't get it then after that fight with the therapist and getting sent back I tried to use the bandersnatch symbol which led to him having a break down then it rewind again and it said I was watching Netflix and cut him off from the explanation. I left it at him having the confrontation with the therapist again but this time he tried to jump out a window only to be stopped and I find out he's on a movie set. Paused it afterwards and left. Imma take a break for a bit.
And the one where you try to call doc but get it wrong and collin comes over and you tell him that you killed dad and you can either let him go or kill him
I got a news ending where tuckersoft got shut down and Stefan went to jail Colin came back to life went to jail for unknown substance then bandersnatch did not come out cause Stefan murders his father I know you have to let Colin go instead of killing him then the game ending I did not get a chance to go back so I guess this ending is Unknown?
If you kill Colin instead of letting him go, you literally Still end up in jail, Bandersnatch gets a 5 star review before eventually being pulled from the shelves, and Colin's daughter Pearl finds it and remakes it as the Netflix series we're actually playing/watching right now.
@@yayagoat right, because the ending doesn't change once you kill your father. You go to jail, Bandersnatch gets a 5 star review before being pulled off of shelves and Colin's Daughter Pearl finds and remakes it. Whether you kill Colin or let him go, it doesn't change.

Could it be possible that he had such a vivid flashback that when he dreamt the train crashing his mind was convinced it was reality and for that moment, that was his "go yo the light"moment. Then he died in the crash and he was simply satisfied of life, his brain just hit the emergency stop.
@Aaron A Now you went on a tangent that's completely off topic my guy the point of the lsd was to Segway into theories one of them happened to be the multiple world theory if you really watched this video you would've even heared him* say that he jumped because it doesn't matter in the end game. No one and nothing said something about lsd users trying to fly? So my point simply is idfk where you got that from but hey... You do you.
It is the only ending where not only do the credits play automatically but you don't get reset to an earlier point, its the bittersweet ending thats meant to make you feel like Donnie Darko or Jacobs ladder, the ture ending that the whole illusion of choice narrative of the story is about, the reviewer didn't understand it.
I never had the option to either take or get rid of the pills. It was either flush them down the toilet or put them in the bin?! Great video! Best video I've seen explaining Bandersnatch. A very difficult one to do when everyone has such different outcomes! Thanks for sitting through it all.
My favorite ending was the super morbid one where he goes back in time and gets on the train with his mom. In my opinion it's the best one because I never got the prompt "TOY" (when trying to unlock the safe) until after I had played through nearly every other scenario. To me it was essentially saying "you've seen that there is never going to be a happy ending so would you like to go back and end it before it even begins?" Am I alone in thinking it's the only real 'happy ending'?
This is obviously a hugely late comment, and no doubt a number of people have noticed this as well (especially if you've rewatched Black Mirror after Bandersnatch/before the most recent 'season') but the symbol that keeps popping up is the same symbol from that episode where the woman is being repeatedly tortured for a murder. Which fits extremely well with the themes of Bandersnatch.
Just in case nobody else picked up on it, I believe the art for the cover of Bandersnatch is heavily inspired by a work from Junji Itou called “Layers of Fear.” I don’t know much about the series, but in Junji’s comic babies are buried in tombs of carefully layered clay after being discovered to have a rather unique condition. The story starts when a man uncovers one of these tombs and his family becomes ensnared in the long forgotten curse, the man dying not to see the extent of what will happen. I would read the manga if you all haven’t already as it is an amazing read.

@@sose6255 well I guess its a matter of perspective, from my perspective his life pretty much still revolved around his mother. Bandersnatch was his mothers and all the anxiety was a clear sign of him being unable to cope in the real world. But still you aren't wrong, i guess we see and like or dislike this ending according to our personal experiences and how we want to see life lived out as
one thing that people missed is what colin said: they (the goverment) pay people to pretend to be your relatives. meaning that this is not his actual dad or mother. the traumatization was a fake. so his mother is just like his dad and dr haynes, they faked it meaning it is an ilusion that this is his mother. it's not a happy ending, it's not peace. the toy ending is basicially just an escape, ending the circle of program and control after stefan changed his past (wich is also is something that proved dr haynes wrong, since she said you can't change the past, even though afterwards stefan died in front of her). it also doesn't allow you to go back after it. the only real ending.
@@marcrchz Colin also explained that there are multiple realities running its course . Whatever realty we chose to be real is our choice . It’s the 80s, where ISNT there an ashtray?
I’m surprised there was no mention of the Easter eggs. Nosedive is the name of the social media episode. The binary symbol for choice/bandersnatch was originally from the white bear episode .
Another Easter Egg is that Thakar teases Colin by asking him if he's listening to Kajagoogoo, and then when Stefan goes to the record store, the song playing is "Too Shy" by Kajagoogoo. But maybe only an 80's kid would notice that. ;-)
And the binary symbol is also in the episode with the guy who finds out his wife is cheating, on the side of the building.
I also feel like nosedive was foreshadowing Colin jumping off the balcony.

I didn't realize the two were that connected
When I saw that symbol, I remembered that chapter, and I knew that something was connected, great conclusion :)

What ending was this for?
Evan Russell it was the ending where you found all the pacs stuff and you kill your dad but then to call the therapist it replayed all the times she said numbers and you had to memorize some to call her office and tell her she was next. not sure what happens if you get the number wrong
Did any one got this decision to type a phone number after you kill the dad

It's Post credits scene. The ending where credits come in full screen and not the TV screen. Let the credits roll. and you get it.
The fact that this was 18 minutes long and didn’t even explain all the possible outcomes is why this movie makes me furious.
I was convinced there was going to be an ending where we discover he was actually on lsd the whole time. The feeling of “not being in control” is prominent in acid and hallucinogens, and the creator of bandersnatch was also said to have been on hallucinogens. Just a thought 🤷🏻♀️
The secret ending was literally my first ending
you have to literally do nothing just let netflix choose
letting colin jump is the key
I've gotten every ending for Bandersnatch, and all except one have allowed me to go back and try another or exit to credits. The only one that didn't was Stefan going back in time to alter the past and cause his own death. In that ending, I could neither go to the credits or replay from a different point, the credits just rolled by themselves, so while I believe that all the endings are technically the "true" ending, the ending where he simply ceases to exist and removes himself from all timelines is the *real* ending, as it breaks the cycle of the infinite timelines by never allowing them to exist in the first place.

2. Overmedicated ending
3. 5/5 Bandersnatch/Pax ending
4. P.A.C.S conspiracy ending
5. Take the train ending

After you choose whether adult Pearl pours coffee over her computer or destroys her computer (doesn't matter as either one will trigger a glitch on your screen and roll credits) the credits start rolling on a black screen.

I left it at him having the confrontation with the therapist again but this time he tried to jump out a window only to be stopped and I find out he's on a movie set. Paused it afterwards and left. Imma take a break for a bit.

@@_RT.Tony_ sksk I was pissed, I thought he wasn't gonna snitch
Only man who can figure out what’s happening in a Michael bay movies I love him
I fucking love your name.
He shows this ending (the one with Pearl remaking it as the Black Mirror Bandersnatch episode) in this video.
@@Orion_TheyThem i got this ending buuut i didnt kill colin? hmmmm
@@yayagoat right, because the ending doesn't change once you kill your father. You go to jail, Bandersnatch gets a 5 star review before being pulled off of shelves and Colin's Daughter Pearl finds and remakes it.
Whether you kill Colin or let him go, it doesn't change.
Zerro Ysl do whaaaaat?
When my brother and I got to the part where we could “talk” to Stephan, we started to freak the fuck out. Also, something I just told my brother upon seeing the endings “we should have fought the therapist”
i just watched/played this and fell in love. it's so complex and it has me actually jump out of my set when i realized that there was a whole other area if you let colin jump it's insane and i love it
Didn't realize toss the pills meant consume them! Gotta love Britishisms 🤣😂😅
Was anyone else confused when it said flush the pills or toss the pills?I assumed toss the pills would have put it in the trash can and he would have found it later or something..
Same loll I thought toss pills would be like throw them in the garbage and maybe someone finding them later so I flushed them loll
Could it be possible that he had such a vivid flashback that when he dreamt the train crashing his mind was convinced it was reality and for that moment, that was his "go yo the light"moment. Then he died in the crash and he was simply satisfied of life, his brain just hit the emergency stop.
RELAX! Don’t do it

Also this comment probably wont get a heart but eh hay at least i see im not the only akira nut i still gotta read the big ass manga
Getting into an action movie fight with your psychiatrist was by far the best ending
I wanna do a Colin and jump off a balcony
Edit: whilst on LSD
Everything ok?
Yeah I wouldn't mind
@Aaron A You missed the point or made a joke? Eitherway seems like the thing you tried didn't work out.
You do you.
Please don't.
I played bandersnatch the other day and got the ending of him going on the train with his mother when he was a kid
I'm surprised he didn't mention the option of having colin jump off and pax appearing
Joshua Derrick wasn’t the ending I’m pretty sure
It is the only ending where not only do the credits play automatically but you don't get reset to an earlier point, its the bittersweet ending thats meant to make you feel like Donnie Darko or Jacobs ladder, the ture ending that the whole illusion of choice narrative of the story is about, the reviewer didn't understand it.
Thanks for going in on this. I didn’t have the patience
To me it was essentially saying "you've seen that there is never going to be a happy ending so would you like to go back and end it before it even begins?"
Am I alone in thinking it's the only real 'happy ending'?
it was the happiest ending for sure
I am watching you through RUclips channel called found flix, you're just my time killer to get through this pandemic.
Mom...she wasn't affected by the curse ☠️
Did anyone else have a hard time calling the therapist? Not going to lie it took me 4 times...not because I didn’t know it but because my remote to my TV wanted to select the numbers...😡
No, coz I had my subtitles on.
