The secret sauce of the bedroom producer :D
Love your vids man
I love the shape of that one. It’s nice to see something that’s not a direct 1:1 fender copy.
That amp sounded so rad when you cranked it up lol. I could definitely see running the bass DI thru jack into the bass and recording direct at the same time and blending that to taste lol. Great video.
Now I need a cheap bass that I can put flat wounds on... the struggle never ends
No need to struggle he just pointed a really great cheap one out! KaBoom !! There you go bro!!
That’s a pretty cool bass! I love simple instruments less is more that thing is right up my alley i could see myself upgrading the crap out of it and using more than my other basses.
100% this, my PB Shorty always sounded pretty great even before you get into the price, but putting some Chromes on it made it sound like a premium instrument. Chromes are great since they are a flatwound but still articulate enough to SLAPP.
I’ve got to get one of these before they either sell out or go up in price.
Have u ever played with the sparrwhawk model of bill kelliher?
What is that line at 3:15 - 3:24? I recognize it but can't think of what is is.
It really does look like something designed decades ago...was surprised to find it's actually a longscale
yup!
Did I just see a dolly zoom on a cheap bass review? :O
Nordmann?
jau
Got to say personally i hate those ernie ball flats but they do sound good here!
What's wrong with them? Can't say I've noticed any particular difference to other types.
@@LivingroomGearDemos to me they sounded super bright and really like rounds. Can’t remember if it was the same exact set… they felt weird and were hard on fingers. Using now labella’s on both of my basses!
I have to say, the AI-generated thumbnail photo is very disappointing.
Hi, thanks for the feedback! Noted, and I did just change the thumbnail to a real photo of the string. I understand the sceptisism towards AI etc, but what exactly did you find disappoiting about it? Just interested in hearing your thoughts on it!
The AI part of the thumb was mean to illustrate the spongyness of flatwound strings. And of course, part of it is to add a WHAT?! effect to the thumb to catch peoples attention.
@@LivingroomGearDemosI assume it's just ai is le bad bandwagon shit
ShortScale..?
Edit:
Just checked:
34"!! has a cute Shorty look👍
