These PSP pumped storage projects are such a waste of money .. battery storage much cheaper and no maintenance infinitely scalable with frequency support and so many other benefits
Batteries cant store energy for more than few hours at scale.
Batteries are good for short term storage

@@anubhavsingh6436 energy is not gold that we need for long term storage.. we need for short term only .. the issue any other form of energy is power momentum .. other that battery the response time is in minutes that too is a waste of energy . For example once the demand is requested the turbines and generators take some time to spool up and vice versa ,that negatively affect the grid and create issue with frequency matching .. but batteries not only deliver energy but also absorb energy and can work as a shock absorbers in demand fluctuation scenario and can serve for decades without any maintenance as no moving part .. indian government should stop wasting money in such energy storage
