It’s amazing how different drum tones and kits that are pre-programmed can make you play differently. You hear a tight jazzy kit and you instantly pull out your jazz chops.
I give most of my drumming credit to you Samus. I bought an Alesis Nitro Mesh 8 piece after I got out of mental evaluation for addiction and used that outlet to stay out of a mind of relapse. Being that I am autistic (Aspergers Syndrome) it gets easy to become addicted to something so I decided to do it in a positive way. I thank Samus for knowledge I didn't even know about drums. You rock dude. Sex.
If I remember correctly, this groove is a nod to Tony Royster Jr's drum solo at age 10/12. Although that part was done with a combination of different splash cymbals. Frikkin groovy!

66Samus! I love blast beats as much as the next guy, but man! Hearing you play things with so much flavor and taste was refreshing and enjoyable! All the ghost notes are so subtle and so tasty.

I now want to order one of these IMMEDIATELY! This certainly won't be the last video of yours that I watch. Love your vibe and your drumming skills go without saying.
This might just be the best E-kit I’ve ever seen. You can adjust the sound, it has that great Pearl drum rack, and characteristics of real acoustic drums. 10/10
@@jaydoode15 I currently use an Alesis Crimson II Special Edition kit. As good as the hardware is for the price point ($1400 kit), the samples and module itself definitely leave a lot to be desired. It’s insanely hard to justify the cost of electronic drums. For the cost of something like this, you could beyond effectively sound treat whatever room you’re working with and a pair of ear plugs for far better experience.
@@BradsGonnaPlay The main appeal, at least for me, is that I would finally be able to record myself with absolutely no problem about mics. I agree with you to the extent that 3/4/5k on an electronic set seems unreasonable, but if you think about it, how much does all that hardware ALONE costs?
@@DimIsHigh this is very true! I’m definitely not anti-electronic drums but in my current applications between studio and tour, I’d be better off shelling out for a nice acoustic kit.
