Their accents are a trip!!! It is easier for me (as an American) to understand their words when they are singing as opposed to when they are speaking. Glad they are still doing great, loved them as a kid!!!

I love the Human League and I love Sheffield. Spent my late teenage years there from 1979 to 1983. It was a wonderful place. Who remembers the Limit club? And the Wapentake?
I was a regular at the Wapentake in the late 80s and early 90s. Great!

Have to agree, although i loved Dare when i was a kid i owned nearly everything The Human League made. Now in my late 30's their early electronica has got a 2nd wind and im glad people are picking up on the pioneering music they made then.
what an amazing group . the most beautiful english boys in the group.dare is such an amazing album.
Phil has worn that same suit in several other interviews I've seen on RUclips, it sure got around. LOL. Anyway, I've always been and remain a big fan of Human League, it's nice to see that they were not afflicted with the break-up virus which has wiped out so many bands and are still touring. I also like how they have kept their feet on the ground and have not let stardom go to their heads; they come across as genuine, unpretentious, and down to earth. I got a chuckle when Jeanne spoke of how hard it is to look herself in the mirror these days while they ran clips from the old videos from the 80's. As far as I'm concerned, she looks just fine.

Every Decade there has always been a sound/fashion/dance to replace the last decades. For the first time in a hundred year or so there is no new sound and everyone is being forced to go retro, WHY? Well the world as we know it is coming to an end. 2012 He will return and the days of suffereing will finally be over!
@Fentoradore Completely true. Dare was an incredible moment in time, without rushent they lost their way.
The fact that they constantly add 'Baby' to the end of DYWM seriously pisses me off, if you're going to have the League on the show and play their music, do your fucking research on your guests BBC

Its funny really when they all agree that they're not stars...but I couldn't imagine them as anything else.
@Fentoradore Oh simmer down. Joanne has said in the last week that she was very sad to hear of Martin's death, and that he was a great producer and lots of fun to work with. I understand that Martin was working on an updated version of Love and Dancing recently so perhaps we should celebrate the collective work and leave what may or may not have happened in the past there.

Wow david bowie was so wrong.
They should have used different backing whenever needed. Even used people that could sing if appropriate. The idea that an unmusical shop girl dumbo ruined the chance of another great album is horrible. However, the silly cows aren't to blame. Who let it happen? Maybe the real band just had to watch it die to get away.
