It’s always nice when you can load an area up with traps knowing there’s only a couple beavers left. Game cameras are a very useful tool for trapping that I don’t think many use. Nice job catching both them!

Nice job! On one of my very first properties last year -- turned on to it by the DNR -- fisheries biologist, was a huge dam and a house that had flooded 5 acres of a guy's horse paddock -- and I caught two out of the lodge -- the 60lb male and his 50lb female companion. And I could NOT, for the LIFE of me, get the sub adult. Tried snares, foot holds, dam breaks, castor mounds... and I missed that sub adult on several sets. And hopefully, with the dam broken, hopefully it moved out. So nice work getting them all!
Very difficult sometimes to get the sub its quite strange+
@@OutdoorExperiences It was the weirdest thing. I did catch a goose on a castor mound. That was a helluvan experience lol. Last year was my first year trapping, so I got lucky -- I had reversed my lock, so the goose was just tired out, not drowned.

When beavers in my pond see such obvious fences, made of sticks, they just avoid such places
When beavers have been trapped in the past they do learn that is right!
Beavers are such cool animals but man they are destructive.

It must be fun to trap and drown a defenseless animal instead of capturing and relocating the beaver to an area where their work could do some good. Just a thought.
Thank you for the comment and sadly relocation is not possible in our area as they are a nuisance, if you relocate them then you will be charged by our wildlife officers and have fines and other things to deal with. Only way to relocate is with a permit from the wildlife officers which is nearly impossible to come by as they have no where to relocate them too
@@OutdoorExperiences they are finding homes for some of them in western states where there work is bringing life back to dry areas by their engineering prowess. I have seen videos of the amazing changes that take place when beavers are put to work in the right place.
Correct they are able to relocate some but that's the exception not the rule, here in my state the only relocations that can happened are in public areas but they have to request and get approval then the wildlife officers find animals, sadly just not possible for the majority of nuisance animals
