As an alonuko bride myself I would say her customer service is top tier! Never have I ever experienced gbemi being rude or providing bad customer service! She was impeccable! Her and her team were so attentive even after the dress was designed. She came on my wedding day to help me with my dress and called me afterwards to ask how I was. The red thread thing was strange as I’ve never heard of someone having red thread on her wedding day. We also originally had the same dress ( I changed my dress later on) there was no way that that dress was £21k. I was shocked.
Even when I had a concern about my dress the customer service team had replied to my email literally within the hour. And adresssed it immediately!
I don’t think what Felicia said was entirely true! And the fact that Felicia had privated her account after the gbemi response speaks VOLUMESSS

The situation isn't as clear-cut as people are portraying it. While Felicia may be exaggerating or even lying, there's likely some truth to her dissatisfaction with the customer service. When certain prices are charged, standards and expectations should be met. Many on Twitter argue that this criticism is unfairly damaging to black-owned businesses, but in all honesty, i feel it stems from the fear that they too could face similar backlash due to inconsistent or poor customer service standards in some black-owned businesses😅

I just got caught up on this drama. When I watched Felicia’s interview I concluded that the designer didn’t think she was a big spender based on her appearance and as a result treated her with poor client service. In other words “Oju Aye” if you catch my drift. Then I watched the response and I have to be fair, the designers receipts were refuting a lot of Felicia’s claims. Even still though, the thing that made me suspect something is still off with the designer is the fact that she only admitted to “possibly” failing to proof the dress before sending it to Felicia. In my opinion she only admitted that because there was video proof of the dress CLEARLY looking undone (especially given the price). To me, for 21K that alone is enough for me to lose it. Even if everything Felicia said was false, which I think would be very disgusting of Felicia btw, the mere fact that a 21K dress was unfinished is absurd. I will be tuning in to hear your thought Chile ☕️

It was not 21k the receipts are in black and white. It is unfortunate she has actually come out with evidence and people are still trying to disregard the lies Felicia said. A lot of us need understand being a black woman in business is hard. If people take her attitude as cold or assertive thats their perception. When you have customers like this can you blame her 🙃

Should have stopped at false. That should end it. Can’t believe anything else Felicia said because she clearly been lying.
When you order a wedding dress in less than 2 months to your wedding and don’t pay for express services, 21k or not, Alonuko did nothing short of what Chanel or Prada would do.
      She did 100%
But going around saying they didn’t give you champagne etc so petty of Felicia abeg.

What type of service and treatment did she receive? According to the timeline, they were given less than 3 months to make the dress (remember she isn't their only client) and there's no proof to show any form of disrespect so we can't make any conclusion on that.

She got the exact service she paid for??? And there were many instances were they reached out to her and she flat out did not respond. She didn't get to do a fitting because she did not respond to the numerous emails they sent her. And the red thread is standard practice. Also you can not expect a wedding dress of that caliber in less than 2-3 months its almost impossible

The service was fine. How can a bride want a dress for Dec ‘23 with an initial consultation in Sep ‘23. The dress was fine the red thread was there to keep the slits in place. Check Felicia’s photos, she said she received the dress in a plastic bag but the dress in the photo was in an Alonuko bag. She’s a professional liar. Even if the designer made faults she shouldn’t have exaggerated like that

@@estherkasozi4202 what part of the service was not good. Because they treated her like a regular customer, she did the sip and say yes, she did NOT pay for bespoke so she was not supposed to meet Gbemi, she did not book a consultation till September for a gown in December and had to pay express. They communicated with her the date for her fitting and she did not respond so she ended up not getting one. They do not even own pink ribbons so how she got one I don't know. What else is there? It either felicia or her stylist that messed her up not alonuko

Coloured threads on bespoke clothing is usually used to keep darts, slits, etc in place after pressing before being sent out to a client, it is common practice in the bespoke fashion industry. It will be removed by client and stylist.

Though we all have concluded in our minds who the designer is, Felicia never said outright this is the person. Neither did the designer come out and say it is I (correct me if I’m wrong). So to have her brand and picture up in this post is quite brazy 🥲

    • @RopoDemure
      @RopoDemure  6 месяцев назад +10

Felicia didn’t have to explicitly say who she was speaking about on the podcast. It was inferred in her speech as well as her ‘receipts’ throughout the episode and on her social media pages after the episode dropped. So it’s not wrong of me to post a picture of Gbemi and Alonuko as a brand when we all know who/what was being inferred. Also, Alonuko/Gbemi has since addressed the allegations made by Felicia against her brand in a recent instagram post. You should check it out before jumping to conclusions about my video.

    • @norahn4078

The designer has already come out and tried to rebuke the claims so it’s pretty clear it’s her. Felicia is also not the first person to have a poor experience with this brand (it’s difficult to have a 10/10 in customer satisfaction in ANY industry) and there are many other brides who have commented with very similar grievances. This is just the nature of business sometimes and should be a reminder to treat each and every customer with care.
