I have 2 eonon stereos. They're awesome, but their customer service sucks balls due to time and language barriers. Go to the extra settings to remove the driving video restrictions. If you go to factory settings, the pass code should be 126, and you can pick radio bands and also change the startup video

If I remember right you can connect it to the remote wire instead of the e brake.

These headunits are trash and the customer service/support is worse. The OS is unstable, the hardware flat out doesnt work, and the customer support is "did you try turning it off and back on again?" The backup camera is low quality you cant turn off the parking lines. The OBD2 is very basic and can only be paired with their stereo. The return policy costs more than buying a new stereo! Complete trash.
i'm not too surprised, all these android tablet headunit installs are basically just re-branding of Chinese tablets. If I had to go aftermarket I'd rather get a headunit that supports auto/carplay and completely ignore anything else involved with the headunit.

You can just bypass, the brake cut the black cable and ground it to be back of radio.
When you need to do the brake for the stereo, all you need to do is ground it, no need for switch or hooking to actual break, you can even ground it to the body of the head unit itself

I have one. Doesn't have actual Android auto or Apple car play. May just be my model so I can't speak for this one. Had to buy a mashed up version of Android auto server version for 8 bucks off the play store(called Headunit reloaded). Works.. most of the time.
That all being said, I made a mistake and ordered the wrong model year stereo. The customer service on eonon side was fantastic And eonon went above and beyond to help get the right system.
Most of those have steering wheel control built in. It’ll have a wire to hook to the positive swc wire and ground the negative swc wire. You may look in the settings and see if it’s on that one, then find the 2 wires in the factory harness. Good luck

I have something like this, it's just a smaller screen, runs Android 5.1, and has software buttons instead of buttons on the side, and I love mine!

Very cool, but I'm a little disappointed the screen could be larger, no auto cabin lighting, no talk-over or gps geo volume control. I guess I'll have to turn the volume down myself when I get to work or have a conversation. Speech detection Auto EQ? Valet or theft video rec?

Just a tip for the e brake wire. If you just a ground to that wire it should enable all features all the time. I have a similar radio and that's all mine needed. 😉

That’s basically what I did. Just put a toggle switch in between it and the ground

It's not so good if the screen is at an angle cant see the screen until night so if u buy it dont get it if shows your screen is not vertical installed in the your vehicle also the anti glare screen protector did not work that was provided
dont even need to hook the break cable up then have an key code you tipe in an you can turn that option on in the head unit . its like the joying head units

Ground the wire for the ebrake wire to the size of the radio so you can use that while you’re driving
Back in 2012 I had the Eonon Transformer which was the motorized 8” touchscreen in a single din application. The radio was decent enough for the price but the the EQ options were trash. Like the LPF for the subwoofer only went down to 80Hz.

Did you only remove one screen protector. Feels like there is another layer to be removed but don't want to force it since I'm not so sure it's just the screen and crappy finish that makes it feel like it should be peeled off.
Ground the brake to the base of the head unit so you dont have to enable e brake to use simple stuff.
If I were the company that sponsored this I'd be pist... This company picked this person to get there product out there, he should have the knowledge on installing the product An be showing all the functions the products has.

Thanks for the vid. How'd you get the steering wheel controls to work. You gave the answer, but specifically was it the cable labeled wheel lock 1 or wheel lock 2 and which ground? Safety ground. Hope you had the same names as I did on my ga2178.
Got one in my 2012 impala had it in there about 2 years but it’s all one unit and I love it wish it had hpf and lpf on it and a few other things but I love it.
I’ll stick with pioneer, alpine clarion. And instead of buying radios you need to buy a gym membership Jesus

Just ground your parking brake wire from the radio and that should allow viewing during driving.
Netflix and RUclips? Perfect! Now you can watch movies while driving that's great. Lol jk I know it's for the passangers or while you are parked. Do not operate while driving won't stop people, they'll just find a way around it like the toggle switch.

The screen mount is a poor design; it will let the large 10.1 screen rattle and when you push the buttons it moves the entire screen.

Just hook parking brake wire to a ground so you can watch vids regardless of brake position. I have a Nintendo 64 hooked up to mine. Those android wifi indash TVs are lit!!
I had a toggle so I just connected it to that. I know that some stereos if they read a constant ground to the parking brake switch they’ll stop working is why I went with the toggle.

i havew same unit.. works great, for the brake thing, just tape or solder "brake" labeled wire to the case of the backside of the unit ;)
nils dietze can you do that with all of the after market touch skreen radios that show dvds because I have my but I always have to tape it onto my kar lighter thing for it to work it doesn’t just automatically come on
Car Radio so simple 2 replace the factory radio with a new 1 battery wire ground and remote then 4 speaker wire's been installing radio since snacth out's was pop locking on the 90's tape deck
The Torque Pro Engine Check app on the third page is a really cool. it can show live readings, like engine and coolant temps, miles per gallon and has a 0 to 60 time thing on it too. You just gotta get it connected to the obd2 connector
It's a pirated version of the app and will not work after its updated.
