      Anne thought her love for Henry would change the country and make things better for everyone but she was wrong. Henry was an asshole of a man and one of the worst kings England ever had. No, her greatest achievement was already a work in progress, very much alive and safely hidden (no one thought she'd become queen).
      Worst decision he ever made in his life was to cut her head off.
      He became the worst king ever and his daughter, who he didn't like to see because she reminded him of Anne, became the best.
      Karma's fair, I'll give it that

    That part in history is true after Queen Catherine's death.
    During the funeral, everyone was wearing black, but Anne Boleyn was wearing yellow because in Spain they wore yellow at funerals. They don't know why she would wear such Spanish colors because Catherine was the rival of Anne over Henry. People would say, "Maybe it was a sign of respect that she did have for she was once her mistress as lady-in-waiting." Others suggested that she came forth dress like that to humiliate the queen for she make a scheming announcement to wound her dead rival's pride.
    But during that funeral, she asks for a chair to sit on and pray instead of kneeling before the deceased queen. She replies with her reason, "I cannot kneel for being a woman of my condition doesn't allow me to do so." Henry thought about what she said and happily kneel by her side and questioned her, "Is it true?"
    Anne smiled and happily announced the final nail to the coffin of Catherine of Aragon's memories. "I am carrying the future king of England." That was what she announced getting the attention on herself once Catherine was finally dead.

      Of all the wives Anne was the less undeserving of a better fate. Poor Katherine Howard has been unjustly sexualized and was beheaded for not being a virgin when she married Henry in a case that screamed pedophilia. There is no actual proof that she lay with Culpepper beyond a letter which never alluded to carnality, only a deep fondness. Katherine of Aragon fought a war for Henry, served as regent, was his loyal ambassador (1st female ambassador in Europe btw) and served him faithfully to her death but died in poverty still calling out for her child and the husband who discarded her, her food coming from peasants near the area since she didn't even have money for basics anymore. Try pitying those two more.

Henry destroyed that 'joy' yes but if Anne were the wise but empowered woman so many take her for then she would have respect for KOA after her death as her predecessor did for Wolsey when he passed. Lady Boleyn was forever mocking her enemies, she made a play mocking Wolsey and wore red when More died. She made princess Mary who had more royal blood than Henry himself serve Elizabeth, the great granddaughter of merchants and gave permission to 'strike the wicked bastard e'ertime she dares calleth herself a Princess'. Anne expected her resolve to crumble under humiliation and was furious when this instead strengthened Mary's faith in KOA being the true Queen. • @Annais1211
      @Annais1211 6 лет назад +31

      xWickedWitchOfTheWestx From what everybody knows Anne never plotted against Catherine, let alone to kill her. Anne neither did want to marry Henry, she was in love and secretly engaged with Henry Percy. She would have been countess if only both her father, his, and Wolsey, probably by Henry orders, hadn’t separated the two. It was Henry who pursued her and sent her a dead buck...with a letter in which he remembered her that she better not escape (when she retired from court to her home Hever Castle to try to be forgotten by the king), since he was the hunter and she was the prey!!!!
      Henry got tired of Catherine, especially because she didn’t give him the só wanted male hair, way before he met Anne. He was already commanding Wolsey to go see Renee of France, Queen Claude’s sister and Frances I’s sister in law. Anne was a child when he started to think about the divorce.
      And it was Henry’s own fault if he couldn’t have a male child. At least not a healthy one. Since it’s the man sperm which determines the sex. Historians had said that he had a genetic problem which made all his children born weak of health. Especially the male ones who died in puberty. At the end Anne had the last laugh. Only her daughter survive long enough till old age and made England the potency which it is still today, the so called Golden Age. Not by chance, the Elizabethan period and theater have her name.
      Most of Catherine humiliations happened because Henry wanted that. I don’t deny Anne’s jealousy but I still understand her when I imagine myself in such a delicate position. If Henry himself hadn’t wanted to, Anne would never said nothing against her. Proof of that is that he still kept on mistreating Mary after her death just because she didn’t want to sign the oath which declared her fathers marriage null and void. You just needed to not obey the narcissistic spoiled tyrant king to be tortured or put to death. Even if you were his daughter.
      So go to do some research instead of insulting someone who cannot defend herself anymore.

      Annais Maia you speak of Anne as if she was your relative or something, "go to do some research instead of insulting someone who cannot defend herself anymore", yeah a lot of people of that time are dead and cannot speak for themselves, like Catherine, Jane, Mary, Henry himself, that was pointless to say and when did I insulted her?, did I called her whore?, a witch? or any of the other things people those days called her?, I merely stated the truth that no one wants to accept, Jane was no saint but neither was Anne, if we are going to go for who plotted what Jane didn't plot anything either, her family did because they wanted to earn prestige and power and money, just the Anne's family, who first tried to use Anne sister and when that failed used Anne, Jane was a pawn of her power hungry family that saw an oportunity to make her a queen when Anne failed to produce a son and Henry started to grow bored of her, just like it happened with Catherine, Jane played her part on the plot, just like Anne once played her plot of the plot that eventually made her a queen and just like Jane, Anne was a lady-in-waiting for the current Queen, I do not think Jane was a saint but neither was Anne, in the end most of the fault lies on Henry

    • @Annais1211
      @Annais1211 6 лет назад +12

      xWickedWitchOfTheWestx The difference is that Anne doesn’t have blood in her hands unlike Jane have, the same Jane who did a lot for Mary and almost nothing for Elizabeth, calling her “that Smeaton bastard” and being trained by Anne’s own cousin Nicholas Carew to gain Henry’s love and get her killed. Anne was not saint but much better than the other. At least she showed herself as she really was, not using masks. “A lot of that time are dead and cannot speak for themselves” Oh really? If it wasn’t for you I wouldn’t never know it genius.... You insulted her when you said it was karma. If it was like that her daughter would never be queen, let alone have the longest and prosper reign, surpassing all others.

    To be historically accurate King Henry had three biological sons who were healthy enough to be named his heirs, but because they were mothered by mistresses he refused to do so and bit himself in the ass because of it. The most ironic case is that of Mary Boleyn, Anne's younger sister whom the king was originally sleeping with before Anne's family pushed her into his bed. Mary had two children with the king, her daughter Catherine was born first and then it was her son Henry. Had the Boleyn family not pushed Anne into the kings bed so quickly they would have given the king the heirs he required AND still have gotten the lands and riches being the family of the Queen would have given them.

      There's no credible history stating that Marie Antoinette ever said the phrase "Let them eat cake" but people still believe it. There's no credible history that Jesus ever existed, no matter what Christians say, but people still believe it. We have very little evidence of anything that happened in the Renaissance Era of our history, however Mary Boleyn did exist and had two children before she married her husband and at that timeframe it wasn't uncommon for women of the court to have relations with the king. And since condoms weren't a thing back then often times they came out pregnant at the end of the day...

    • @writerchick10
      @writerchick10 6 лет назад +9

      Killing Roses The rumors about Henry being the biological father of Mary's children are widely considered to have simply been court gossip. Every contemporary historian would agree that there is absolutely no credible evidence to back up the claim. If Henry had a son by Mary there's no reason why he wouldn't have been ennobled, just as it was for Henry Fitzroy, the king's illegitimate son by Elizabeth Blount.
      Btw your claim that Mary had her children prior to her first marriage is completely inaccurate. She married William Carey in 1520 & Catherine & Henry Carey were born in 1524 & 1526, respectively.

    • @writerchick10
      @writerchick10 6 лет назад +5

      Killing Roses Henry never would have made Henry Carey his heir. For one, he already had an illegitimate son, who he placed in the line of succession ahead of his eldest daughter, Mary. Also, nobody pushed Anne into Henry's bed. On the contrary, the fact that she refused to hop into bed with the king & become his mistress is widely believed to be one of the reasons she was able to keep # out Henry's attention for what tuhui

    Friendly reminder yellow wasn't a mourning color in Spain! Never was in those times. Yellow doesn't even seem to be a common color anyway in renaissance clothes. Can't find many portraits with bright yellow dyes. Maybe Henry wanted yellow as a joyous color. Like. Hoisting a party when his wife of 20 years dies alone. He's sick like that and the court plays along!
    If yellow was a mourning color than why didnt the king of Spain wear yellow the rest of his life after his wife died. He did wear only a widower costume as he loved her soo so ,much he mourned her genuinely till his own death, more than 10 years later. Why didn't Joanna his mother wear yellow when escorting her deceased husband to Granada. She wore black. Every widow portrait of Charles's family shows them wearing black.
    I don't know where this yellow is sad in Spain myth comes from i, only encouter it when this party is coming up. Actually curious where this comes from and where the banana color widower jacket of Charles can be found if true
