For those wondering why he's eating with his hands, it's very traditional in the southern parts of India. The other reason eating with your hands is considered a respectful gesture is that in Hinduism, the right hand is considered the clean hand. Because of this, it is not considered polite to eat with your left hand.

Just looking at the rice I know it's not proper biryani. Rice not cooked within the same pot as meat and spices means no flavor.
You can get a biryani kit for half the price and make one yourself, the results are better than all the overhyped restaurants out there once you've got the hang of it.
