The Vermont American tap is a triple tap tool, usually an electrician carries one. The 3 sizes most common sizes on switch boxes etc. By the way are you going to the West Jefferson swap meet?

Who buys snap-on and proceeds to gouge them??!? Are people in his shop stealing that bad?

Some people do that on purpose to discourage those who want to steal or take the sockets. Basically so the owner can identify his socket lol. All my snap on stuff is marked so I know it is mine.

I have never marked a tool, but I only worked in shop 3 years. I figured the time it would take to mark 1000 tools would not be worth the money it would take to replace a few that walk away. If I did mark a tool it would be a stamp so it is consistent and it would be a place that doesn't make it look like you $500 wrench set is worth $50.

I understand, depending on where you work this may be a good idea. I personally rather buy the ones that walk because they may never come back, than to scar my tools like this owner did. Just has to be a cleaner way to do it. Thanks for watching!
