The British interviewers really did their homework and you could see they felt actually excited to meet her. I don't watch Lilly all the time but she is someone who is quite inspiring. We all just have to do what we want to do to be a bawse.
Pineapple Princess They seemed delighted to be talking. That by the way is a question they ask us all Indian gals because they assume it's like what they see in old movies or shows showing super duper young women getting married in 'India' even though we are from 'Canada' LOL.
I just don't get it. If I was Lilly and I was being questioned like this I would really have to think on how to answer those questions, but she just goes for it!! WOW!! Probable cuz I have stage fright..
Also, she's doing something like 12 interviews per day, so she probably getsasked all the same questions anyway. I bet she could do an interview in her sleep by now, in fact she probably does...
Probably one of the best interviews of a RUclipsr in the traditional media. So many interviewers look down on RUclipsrs, but this one was so good. Loved it.
*HOW SHE DO DAT?! BREAKFAST TV?!?! OMGGG AND SHE SPOKE LIKE SHE HAD NO FEAR AT ALL!!! She was so well spoken and i am so proud she gets to do what makes her happy in life and gets to do these AMAZING opprtunities❤💙💚💛💜💓💕💖💗💘💝💞💟 LOVE YOU LILLY from England*
I swear, put team super in a room and ask us those same questions and we'll be able to answer them. Almost every interviewer that interviewed Lils asked the same questions. lol 😂
Erika Naoe that's not rude at all in england. I've loved Lilly for so long lol don't get me wrong but trust me, that must be something cultural cos that wasn't rude
It's called a leading question. The interviewers already knew what the book was called. They were asking so Lilly would tell the audience. I take it you don't know much about tv interviewing?
amelia cool Americans get butthurt over everything they live in a pc culture, so normal things that normal people do and say seem extreme to their fragile minds 😂
ok to all the people complaining in the comments about the interviewers. First, while I'm sure the hardcore fans could answer all these questions being asked this interview isn't for your benefit. You are already going to buy Lilly's book (if you can afford it) because you're a fan of the book. This Morning's audience isn't the same as Lilly's audience, its general older people, people who will probably buy the book for someone else and so the information being given is to let that audience who Lilly is. It's not that the Sally and Christian (or their team) haven't researched Lilly; they're appealing to a certain audience. Otherwise, the BBC would probably get a whole bunch of complaints asking 'who is this person and why should I care' and completely go against the purpose of Lilly coming onto This Morning: to promote her book. Moving onto the book, again Christian will know the name of Lilly's book, he said he read it. However, a technique for promoting is to get the person promoting to say the name of their product themselves. It creates what's called a 'sound byte'; something that can be cut down and used in different types of media. This is a full-length interview but that clip of Lilly saying "it's called Bawse," and her explanation of "Bawse" can be used as a sum up for later, prime time shows rather than having Christian, who is in no way related to this project say the title and that clip only has one use. Note Christian also interrupts her to ask what the book is called when she's talking about the contents, again this feeds into the majority audience who won't know what Lilly is talking about because they most likely won't be her fans so don't know the name of the book. Christian and Sally want Lilly to be the one who is the majority speaker, that's what a good interview is, so by asking Lilly Christian is able to keep her talking while informing the audience.
Yeah! Lily doesn't know that in the uk people of indian/ pakistani descent are called simply as asians or south asians. Never brown people. Not even in entertainment media.
MultiBigbird01 nah here in the uk south-Asians tend to refer to themselves as brown too, so I think they would have actually appreciated it and seen it as relateable, especially on the BBC 😂😂😂
No the UK's not like that, Yes indians etc are referred to as asian (by none brown people) but other indians would just say brown. Theres no right or wrong in saying Asian or brown.
Lily does deserve all this attention. She is very superwoman and she is very inspirational to all women. She is very talented. Smart. Intelligent. Very funny. Beautiful and wonderful.
I started watching her because of her background. Being Pakistani, of course there are many similarities between our cultures, so that really mader her videos interesting for me, even if I am nearing 40 now. I enjoyed her humour so much and I like her personality, so I enjoy more of her work too. She has a very positive influence on the youth because she is a decent person and that makes her a great example for all. Great to see someone with a desi background up there.
I feel like I need to thank u for litterally showing me a way of putting my thoughts in to words when u were talking about how u started RUclips and the way the idea of a very set out life being boring and not creative. that is exactly how I feel right now but I don't know what to do.
I love how she stays calm and keeps her cool even after she said "your born into a family which gets married quite young". They also seemed really stiff and that guy forgot what her book was called. I'm sorry but if your doing an interview... Do your research?
It's a sound-byte. Basically it's a way of promoting the book as it's better hearing it from the creator, he knew what it was called he was just doing a common interview technique
To be honest I don't think she meant it in a harmful way. Middle class white British people think getting married in your 20s is young. Average age is early thirties for them.
The British interviewers really did their homework and you could see they felt actually excited to meet her. I don't watch Lilly all the time but she is someone who is quite inspiring. We all just have to do what we want to do to be a bawse.
Really did their homework but couldn't remember the name of the book...lol
Really? They looked pretty stiff to me. I just felt negativity especially when she said "your born into a family which get married quite young"
Pineapple Princess They seemed delighted to be talking. That by the way is a question they ask us all Indian gals because they assume it's like what they see in old movies or shows showing super duper young women getting married in 'India' even though we are from 'Canada' LOL.
Pineapple Princess British journalists are often awkward when interviewing someone younger than 36
It also usually depends on the age of the british interviewer and who they are interviewing as well.
She's so well spoken, god i love her so much
Ivy's Life she's not as well spoken as the English TV presenters in this clip though.
James racist much
@@goodscoups No, Indian isn't a race

"Born into a family where you're expected to get married quite young" that women saying an unnecessary stereotype
To be honest I don't think she meant it in a harmful way. Middle class white British people think getting married in your 20s is young. Average age is early thirties for them.
