@Cookie Cat good point. Probably didn't even take Salvador very long to run up that tab, what with all the property damage and therapy that bar patrons needed afterwards (which is pretty scary, knowing what we know about Xylourgos).

I need to see Salvador actually do something in BL3, even Axton technically has more references as pitifully small and few as they are. Sal was my first character in BL2 and all I can do is hope that they actually have him (and Axton) do something in the last DLC.

@@keef9924 I don't recall any mention of people from Pandora coming from Earth. It's not even known if Earth exists in the borderlands universe. Pandoran inhabitants are from the many researchers, miners and workers that were brought in by Atlas and then Dahl.
Still doesn't really explain why Salvador has a totally different accent from everyone else in the village if he was born there (although I did mention maybe he *wasn't* born there). Still a funny potential oversight anyways.
@@keef9924 I think you're mistaking the concept of voice actors having accents we're familiar with and canon. To OUR ears his accent is Spanish/Mexican, but that doesn't mean that's where he's from. Earth and the galaxy we know irl isn't the same universe as the Borderlands one. There are hundreds/thousands of planets in Borderlands all with diverse and unique cultures, and there's nothing I can recall that ever suggests Earth is in it, or that all humans are from there. For example Amara's accent sounds Indian, but she's from a planet called Partali, not India on Earth. The Zaford Clan sound Irish, but they're just some very early Pandoran settlers who likely developed their own accent. Gehenna as a planet seems to have a mostly American southern drawl kind of accent, but that doesn't mean they're from Earth's America.
It's not the same universe. It'd be like watching Star Wars and going "oh Obi-Wan has an English accent, he must be from UK on Earth."

I found him to be kind of hard to play with at the beginning, especially compared to Maya, but during TVHM he starts to shine and it's amazing. Him coupled with a slag Rubi can kill almost anything in a matter os seconds.
Also Sal with the grog nozzle and a Toruge explosive pistol can solo raid bosses.
I am replaying Salvadore rn. Best Character imo.

For those who don't know (might be already in comments): Salvador and Axton both became play-by-play commentators for Pandora's newest blood sport: The Arms Race! A battle royal fight to the death in the middle of a murderous hurricane strong enough to rip through even metal where bandits, maliwan, and all sorts of blood thirsty individuals fight to the death! Or so Salvador and Axton describe it...
I like Salvador I played him in the second game of Borderlands 2 and I think it's going to be a DLC 3 we're just going to be my favorite part of the game

I really wish my boy sally got more love in terms of borderlands lore. He was the only one of two vault hunters to not make an appearance in the base game. And even with the last dlc coming out it doesn't seem like we are even gonna see his character anytime soon. Pour one out for our angry gun hungry midget.
It's so sad that out of basically all the main characters in Borderlands 2 he has the least going for him. At least in Borderlands 30 is a character that you can meet and hang out with. All he gets is that he's an announcer in like a stupid DLC. He's not even a character you can meet. I really wish they would do more with his character because he's one of the only character we have met that is actually from Pandora he can teach us a little bit more about the culture. And everything that happened on this planet before it became infested with Bandits because of the V. And plus he's also as we can all agree the best character in Borderlands 2 to play literally is playstyle is the most fun. Plus he hums Metallica.

To me, Salvador from Borderlands is what Krieg might have / or would turn into once both sides of him fused together completely. Sane to talk to, with Morals, yet at the same time thriving in the Pandoran Madness

Sal's easily my favorite character in the while series. At first, it was just because he was the most fun, but now his character is just a lingering high iv been chasing for years.

That explanation for h being short is so fucking dumb nor does real world science actually support it, however assuming he had taken synthetic testosterone which is the most iconic steroid, had he not used aromatase inhibitors or had he not used them correctly some of the steroids could have aromatised into estrogen which naturally close the growth plates, however in Salvador's case this biological process which normally occurs at the end of puberty had occurred prematurely in him
The next spin off game should be something with Salvador instead of another TTWL ( no hate just an idea)

I never played him because he seemed so bland compared to the others. In the end i like him but yeah not a lot going on

This isn’t a popular take but I feel as though Salvador could become a boss / villain at some point. A Pandora through and through he could become associated with anyone that fills his greed for guns and loot.
If it’s fun for him he will shoot anyone. It’s not the best outcome for him but a don’t see the wrong in making him a bad guy narratively speaking

Salvador is the monster that eats other monsters. He's psychopath that only has an appetite for slaughtering evil people, he could never harm the innocent though. I love characters like this, and he's such a bro.
