    Unfortunately we all can't afford our own land. Here in PA your damn lucky to see the same deer twice in a hunting situation. Most all bucks on my wall were one and done. Scout , hang and hunt the peak rut....and pray!!! Nice video.

    For those saying different deer. Has the same scar and the scar is bigger after it was wounded so definitely the same deer. As a deer ages they can lose mass and points after they have reached there full potential.

    I've got a 40 acre property and I've got this deer we have named sky scraper that I have been hunting for 4 years now in 2016 he showed up late season and I never did see him in person that year in 2017 he was a 150 inch 9 point and I had 2 encounters with him that year but could never get a shot in 2018 his right side was screwed up dew to him hitting his antler during the velvet season and now he is one of the biggest deer I've ever seen on my life. In velvet but will be scoring about 170 with nothing but daylight pictures of him. Hopefully he keeps doing what he's doing and I can get him early bow season.

      I’ve got a 7.5 yr old, 152 5/8 inch 10pt on my wall that I had been after since he was a 4.5 year old 12 pt. I took a 25 yd bow shot at him in 2014 but wasn’t paying attention to how close the bottom limb of my bow was to tree I was in and the arrow nose dived. In 2015 I got a redemption shot with the bow at 40 yds but he ducked the string so hard that I hit him way high in the top of the shoulder blade. 300 yds tracking and found the broken off arrow. We didn’t get a single trail cam pic of him the rest of that season. By gun season 2016 we still had no pictures of him and I thought he was dead (possibly killed on neighboring land) until, While tracking a friend’s deer, I found one of his sheds from the previous winter. We still never saw him in 2016 tho. Late summer 2017 we were looking at trail cam pics and got a single picture of him. A group of does had set off the camera and he was about 70 yds out behind them in a soybean field. On the afternoon of October 25 2017 I was hunting between a bedding area and that field when he followed a doe within 10 yds of my stand. That was the last mistake he ever made and the final chapter of a years long hunt. Even tho his rack wasn’t what it used to be, I had finally outsmarted a legend that had gotten the best of me twice.

    I respect that, holding off for his deer. I had a buck that looked similar. Tall rack, 9 point and i had a ton of trail cam pictures. We set a stand up down there and the first day we hunted a doe led him right to me and he stopped at the estrus scent i had down there, shot, no exit. But it ran 40 yards out of sight and piled up.

    I have almost all the dvds of buck commander. But here is a REAL challenge for you guy in buck commander , Hunting in Indiana .. Its now Hunting season early hunting season.. I my self bought my first cross bow, and this is my second season of hunting. Last year was my first, at age 47. and it was a massive bust, didnt see anything or get anything. THis season i have my eye on a nice, what i think to be a good 8 pointer, hunting today I spooked him. I dont know if he smelled me, or if he just had the spook from something else. But i couldnt get a clear shot at him. I have not even sighted in my Red dot site, im just shooting on a wim. I really dont know anything bout hunting, im pretty much winging it. so come hunt Indiana and let me tag along so i can LEARN more then i dont know right now .. IT sucks not having anyone to go with and having to hunt along a fence line between three fields, two are corn feilds and one is a bean field .. in other words TEACH ME, to hunt ..

    • @randaldavis4880
      @randaldavis4880 4 года назад

      @@SouthernPursuit24 and you sir , well thanks for that. But hunting on a wim means, not sighting in the cross bow i am using.. SO how can not sighting a cross bow be a bad rep for others .. I dont see how the two go hand and hand .. Now i could see if i dont use a scope at all, and just aiming at anything that moves ..Now that would be giving hunters a bad rep . WHY because it means, who ever does that dont need to be hunting. In my case, I just bought the cross bow, shot it a few times, to check it out and make sure its good to go. And went, keeping in mind, that you dont shot anything that moves, I could get a shot in on the buck i spotted, i had my Safety orange on, done what i needed to to.. unlike some people, shooting from a truck and not being out of the truck and 30-40 feet away from that auto or going on to land they dont have the right to be on . Now that is hunters giving other hunters a bad rep..

      @@bradysjam352what you talking about ? grow as in horn size ? Thats why they raise them for there abnormally large growth. The inject them with hormones and vitamins to make there rack grow to sizes so large it hurts the deer. Very inhumane and discusting. Fun thing is they still cant match the perfect large size deer grow in the wild.

    Thousand of private acres... No hunting pressure, watching buck, after buck.... Not a reality for most who hunt across the country. I like the guys, but a huge misrepresentation of how deer hunting really is. Go Hunting Public!
