      I actually went with the 65lb so that it would be an additional form of auxiliary motor if that helps! I know with a big deep cycle that may only be 2hr but I figure as much as I am ready to call the rescue, if I can put home ten minutes on an electric I’d prefer that if possible! Even if that only meant getting the boat to shore etc. but I am a a super cautious person!

    Hurry up and get it on the water! Love watching Tuffies in action. Setup is looking good - are you planning to put a bimini on ? I seem to have a tough time finding one for my Tuffy.

    • @suchisaustralia4839
      @suchisaustralia4839  3 года назад

      Hey mate!
      I really want a Bimini after I watched a clip of someone with the original Tuff tender set up as a solar one and his had a Bimini
      There’s biminis that fit I’ve seen them in the Tuff tender group on FB but given the experience I had with the place that set the sounder and watersnake up I think I’ll just ask them to figure it out
      What I need to be mindful of it that the Bimini does not interfere with the watersnake so it would have to be measured up
      Have a great Friday mate

      I know what you mean about researching the Bimini
      The only one I can find that looks like it fits well in terms of pics people have uploaded is one by OceanSouth if that helps. Looks sweet.
      I am thinking I’ll get a price for a custom one. I’d rather it fit properly than awkwardly!

    • @suchisaustralia4839
      @suchisaustralia4839  3 года назад +1

      Hello mate
      It’s only been tested in a lake (calm) but read fine.
      Haven’t tried it in chop or churny water but not anticipating issues. It read well in the lake
      You can also get adaptors to drop the transducer down a lot lower if you need to. For me it’s been fine. Hope that helps !

    • @mariomerhy704
      @mariomerhy704 3 года назад

      Whenever i reach 9km/h on mine it stops reading properly. That's why i am looking for the best place to install my gt54 sv transducer, so it can read properly on higher speeds

    • @suchisaustralia4839
      @suchisaustralia4839  3 года назад +1

      @@mariomerhy704 oh mate that’s a very common problem less to do with the placement and more to do with the transducer .
      It would be worth checking out RUclips for anyone else running that transducer at speed to see how it reads. I’ve never had much luck at speed with any (unless you’re set up for offshore trolling) but trying to get super specific detail at estuary speeds has always been hard for me.
