    You are a great teacher. You voice is reassuring and pleasant. Thank you. Do many times I abandon a channel because of not being able to follow instructions. You are experienced and organized.These king of observing makes for me a pleasant tutorial.
    I haven't worked very much with polymer clay . This may be the project to get me more interested.
    Thank you from SC.💙🧓

      Thank you for your nice comments. This would be an easy project to give polymer clay a try. The secret to clay work is be sure you condition it really good before starting. It should be nice and soft and pliable, so if you fold it, it bends, not cracks or splits.

    What a good idea! I think I would try to make them look more like Scandinavian kitchen witches, but I love the idea of a pincushion doll.

    Excellent tutorial! One question - with the items being different thicknesses, how long do you bake your heads & hands? Sculpey & Prosculpt say 275 degrees, 15 min per 1/4" but since the head is varying thicknesses, I'm not sure how to know when it is all done & not overbaked. Thanks!

    • @TulipSquare
      @TulipSquare  4 месяца назад

      Thank you. I usually do the initial baking for about 40 minutes. Since the head is filled with foil, there’s probably nothing on it more than half an inch or so. I bake all my clay projects in a deep foil roasting pan with a ceramic tile in the bottom and tin foil covering the top. I’ve never burned anything this way, even if I left it in the oven an extra 15-20 minutes.

    Can you buy a doll head instead of making one?

    • @TulipSquare
      @TulipSquare  Год назад +1

      Sure! Some folks have even used Barbie dolls and other vinyl doll parts!
