- Sr. John Mary of the Passionist Nuns in Whitesville, KY invites women to consider a contemplative vocation.
The monastic vocation is a call to live a life of freedom and detachment. We are liberated from certain particular concerns in order that we may belong entirely to God.
Monastic work, obedience, poverty, chastity, are all in some way colored and tempered by the communal charism of community in pilgrimage and in hope.
Thanks to Whitney Wynn, sister of the newly professed Sr. Cecilia Maria, who performed on the violin Bach's work partita n° 2 Sarabande.

Beautiful message. Countercultural in this crazy atheistic, materialistic, individualistic world of hours. Amen to Passionist nuns!
I want to be more contemplative. I don't know how. I'm always distracted, and weighed down. I want to think more about God, than of myself. I want to get closer to Him. I think I'm accidentally getting closer to myself instead of being more closely united to Him and His Will.
Hallelujah
Is there a Passionist convent for young girls who want the observe the 1962 liturgical rites? I know a young lady who is looking for one.
There is a Passionist Priest, truly ordained (ancient Ordination Rite, before 1960) who celebrates the Holy Tridentine Mass (the true one), please?
Amen
God calls. He does not ask for a birth certificate. Young women? I say our calling is personal.
I can only imagine how one must delude themselves to become religious. It must be understood that morality, love, intellect does not come from a godhead....these things are the essence of our humanity which Evolved over time. To submit to a god is nothing more than being an abject slave.
Dude, this isn't the place for this kind of talk. Kind of funny really, since the Passionists main mission is to evangelise people, to help them understand Jesus' sacrifice for them, and His undying love for all creation. You're not delusional if you believe in God. "Faith and Reason are the two wings on which the human spirit rises to the contemplation of truth" Fides et Ratio, Pope John Paul II
Pope John Paul was the protector of the largest pedophile scandal in the history of the world...he was either incompetent, criminal or both.
Many people were crucified by Romans...one does NOT need a human sacrifice to understand love. Jesus, as the myth story goes was only dead 3 days...not much of a sacrifice. No people living today were responsible for his execution and nobody today is culpable...Religion is abject slavery and a delusional state.
Believe what you want, this isn't the place for this kind of discussion ok
it is a public forum....one has 1st amendment rights in an open forum to free speech...if you don't like free speech then disable comments; Really that simple.
