I am happy too
We are not supposed to interfere but I would have broken the rule

I just love elephants. You can see thru those eyes, highly emotional intelligent animal.
that's your thoughts expectation and feeling, seeing animal eyes is not scientific measurement to proof animal intelligence.
@@baibai3175 who cares. I think what I think. Who tf are you to tell me 😂
I feel the exact same, they are so special
For some reason, all of a sudden I realized just now, that elephants are my favorite animal :)
My favourites have always been the horses and dogs
When I was a child I couldnt say the word ' Elephant ', so I just used to call them en-ten-tents.
Although Im more of a big cat guy, I do still like ententents.
❤❤❤❤
I'd like to give a shout out to the Piano Man himself Billy Joel who has decided for some time now to take a stance to not use elephant/ rinoceros tusks to make piano keys. It typically involves killing the animal. Good for you Billy!
I didn’t know that. Respect.
(Rhinos don’t have tusks btw)
@@Lord_of_Proboscidea they do! Depends on the species some of them have one some of them have two and they're quite smaller compared to elephants. But yeah I mean not playing piano on Ivory is definitely challenging but the effort to change is admirable!
@@Lord_of_Proboscidea Rhinos have a horn that's ground up and used in Chinese medicine

That first lady seems so nice and good hearted
Elephants are such amazing, loving and compassionate beings. We have so much to learn from these sacred, kind and powerful beings. As a Zimbabwean who has lived around elephants on the shores of Lake Kariba, they have literally changed my life. They are highly skilled in telepathy and can sense another elephant's excitement or distress a great distance away. They like all other animals are deeply sentient, intelligent and affectionate/loving. They have an amazing, spiritual and divine consciousness like whales and dolphins. They help strengthen the energy centres and lines of the land. They too are great Healers. They should be in charge of the Earth and world instead of us humans.
That’s a comment on the International Dog Show: it’s the first time I’ve seen a Pug in a Fullbody wig! It must be a full time job to keep him that fluffy and clean with this mane.
You are lucky to have lived around such magnificent creatures. I wish I could experience that.
Perhaps there is alot to learn about humans, like how to stop greed and encrouching on others property. The elephants don't need to be leaders of all species. Humans already know what to do in terms of right and wrong and like elephants use survival of the fittest. If you notice in the elephant kingdom the world of males and females remains separated, except for courting and mating. Also, the young male is moved out when it respond to musth, or attempts breeding which they aren't allowed to do while living and growing up within a herd of females. So many species could show humans how to be more patient, and co-conspirator's in a positive way.
I can just tell by your wording that you are a deep thinker, and I appreciate you 💜. People like you are so rare, and I'm sure YOU understand :). You're great!!!
I AGREE!
It sucks that these guys are being abused at zoos and circus, they deserve more love than what we give them
Thank you!
@@tuyetnguyenbach2270 No its not, they belong in the wild not at fuckin circus or some dirty zoo.
PETA has done so much for them in the US.
She was more excited than the baby elephant good for her thumbs up.
That's so nice of them helping the Elephants get their kids to safety.
Thank you for taking care of these animals. I can’t imagine a world without them. Thank you a million times over.
okay but why did i start crying when the baby elephants were struggling to get out of the water 🥺😭
I couldn't watch, I was so scared for them. I'm hiding down here. I sure hope they survive. 😢
Elephant is such a amazing animal. As a human being we need to takecare of them. Thanks for sharing.
this just shows you how precious these creatures are....
I've loved Elephants all my life. They're so gentle, nurturing and smart. It's devastating to hear what humans have done to them, horrible, gut wrenching to see, plus we're infringing on their space. Elephants have learned how to take down fences, even electric ones, how to stop trucks carrying sugar cane to help themselves to some. I'm sure I've seen every documentary with Sir David Attenborough, 🥰 I'm only 20yrs younger than him. Lol Many millions of thanks to all who make a difference in the Elephants survival. 🙏🙏🙏...
I admire people who can work with animals comfortably. Such a talent! I want to hug the baby elephant! So Cute! Thank you for sharing these baby elephants! I have enjoyed watching them! 😍😍😍😄😀😄

@@Robin-rn6ns Ha ha ha ! you're being funny aren't you? I am scared to hug a pony let alone an elephant, and certainly not a grisly bear!

A beautiful little walking talking mud pie. I love eles.
Elephants are such fascinating creatures and it’s great to share the planet with them!
And it’s a fucking shame that poachers massacre them illegally
The world can't do anything without Africa. This continent has everything ❤️🌍

I love elephants! They’re definitely my favourite animals.
Me too. I saw my first elephants at 3 years old, I'm now 44 and love them even more and more all the time.

The elephant looks cute
I've never felt terror like I did watching those baby elephants in the river
In 1800 there were an estimated 25 million elephants in Africa. In 1900 there were an estimated 24 million elephants in Africa. About one million were hunted for their ivory. In 2000 there were less then one million elephants in Africa. Today there is and estimated 415 thousand elephants left in Africa.
Hunters in Africa need to be hunted before there are no more elephants left in the wild. That goes for rhinoceros as well. There 90% were hunted for their horns.
Totally agree!
💔
30.000 killed in 2023 and at that rate are set for extinction by 2045.
BEST. SPECIES.
With the baby calf celebration you can hear the elephants purring!! Very low rumbling pitch.
They are very smart and never forget
Elephants look so alien. Majestic creatures. If I was blind and gained sight most things I imagine would freak me the f out but seeing an elephant would give me a heart attack
we called 'Aana' here in kerala state.. Elephant is our state's animal 🐘

Beautiful little documentary watching Elephants makes me so happy they are so majestic!
I love elephants!
Had forgotten about the cooperation test. Such awesome creatures :))
Elephants are proboscideans of the family Elephantidae, there are only six living elephant species within two genera, the six living elephant species are the African Bush Elephant (Loxodonta africana), the African Forest Elephant (Loxodonta cyclotis), the Indian Elephant (Elephas indicus), the Sri Lanka Elephant (Elephas maximus), the Sumatran Elephant (Elephas sumatrensis), and the Bornean Elephant (Elephas borneensis).
Genre. Not genera.
Actually, genera is the official plural word for the word genus.
i love this video, it really brings out the love for elephants for me. Thank you so much BBC Earth.
Regarding the elephant intelligence test, I think what is really amazing is the elephants are solving a human intelligence test. Lets face it, pulling two ropes together to move a table is something that will never occur in their real world. Begs the question, could we pass an elephant intelligence test, like finding the watering hole 30 years later. And while we acknowledge that elephants are pretty damn smart, the cameraman comments that the elephants don't know where the brand new baby came from, it just appeared. Like elephants would somehow not be able to understand about being pregnant and giving birth. Duh.
elephants have a soul. when elephants pass away they go to elephant haven. god loves them like he loves us,
I held my breath watching those 3 baby elephants almost drowning in the river. I'm glad they made it back to safety.
I started bawling, I was so worried. I didn't think they would make it. Praise be to God.
omg i was so scared when i send the crocs head like noooooooooo
I was so scared too, so I came down here to hide. I'm so relieved you let me know they survived. Thank you 🥰
Oooohhhh BBC you're just wonderful!!!!!
You made me cry, laugh, regret, and feel Joy at the very same time!!!!!!
Humans are directly affecting the evolution of elephants by ivory poaching. Also directly affecting elephant society and behaviour. Over time the dry grassland turned to lusher pastures because of the elephants' activities - most of which involved using their tusks.
That is depressing but true it’s because of heartless wankers
Of course I will watch a 40 minute video of just elephants
Super excellent 👌
Once he saw the dog in the water, that made it easier for him to enter it.
He saw that the water did not harm the dog and the dog was not afraid of it.
It's the same when a child is afraid of doing something harmless, and then is able to overcome their fear when they see that the other children are not afraid. They also want to be part of the fun.
Thank BBC earth....
Elephant are divine , surely you need to see them in person . They will change you forever
Elephants are the most loving, beautiful & intelligent creatures in the wildlife. 😊💜🌸🐘
Well apart from marine mammals like whales and dolphins
What about horses 🐴 🐎 they are very intelligent herbivores
I think that elephants might even be more intelligent than humans (controversial opinion, I know). 🐘

Elephants are people with a different shape.
African elephants face significant threats from poaching for their ivory, habitat loss due to human activities, and conflict with humans. I like these types of videos. Thanks for sharing this.
we need more humans like this therapist to protect our beloved elephant from evil poacher and evil asia which are responsible for the extinction of our wildlife
the system of exploitation runs far wider than merely asia, and blaming the “third world” while western countries reap the benefit of exploiting natural materials from the land unfortunately creates a ripple effect in local economies to participate as middlemen in order to survive the plague that is capitalism
This is my moms tab im holding my moms tablet
ANYWAY I LIKE ELEPHANTS

The Elephants Baptist their babies,
Elephants sound just like Humpback Whales. The reason there is no Matriarch is? Due to the vileness of poachers. The cruelty of Homo saps, once again. This is so wonderful to see their care & love.
