Reach Out and Touch Him

I get real close to this old bull. His horns are all broken, I just watched him fight another herd bull. I'm hiding behind a tree, they know I'm there and you can see him kind of look over at me. He is very close.

I've seen a bull elk "levitate" over a barbed wire fence after catching our scent, when I turned to ask my friend what to do, he was already thirty feet away and running. It was a week before hunting season, and we were scouting good places to hunt. I guess we found one, a week early.

Any idea how hard it is to run while you're scared, and mad, and laughing at the same time?

They are amazing animals. He is giving me the evil eye. He knows I'm there but is not afraid of me at all.
