I picked up the SMSL PS200 on your recommendation. Not the best build quality and it was shipped in an envelope that got smashed, but I have no problems as for reliability and it is not the most refined, but the sound is very entertaining and engaging.😃😃

Why would it be a waste of money? It's on a whole other level. Plus if you can afford it and enjoy it, go for it.
I'm not saying the DO200 Pro is the best. There are much better dacs. I'm saying it has the same quality sound as the D70PRO Octo. And both are great, for the price.
The D90 III is better than the DO200 Pro or Octo, but more money. If you can afford something nicer, go for it.
I'd rather have a Ferrari than a BMW, but I can't afford a Ferrari. but my BMWs are great.
