I am using their direct heat tube preamp B4 and Tube Bluetooth receiver U4 in my system , feeding my Aiyima amp driving a pair of Dynaudio speakers and of my 50 years of hifi listening experience , the sound is amazing! I do think the sound of my current setup do put a lot of hifi rigs tens of time more expensive to shame~
Great review. I’m loving my F5 also. I did a much simpler mod, added a much higher gauge, shielded, oxygen free copper power cable running through a linear power supply. Definitely felt there was an improvement 👍🏽
@@RickRuizAudio Thanks will keep that in mind.. Have you tried the tad red bas 6l6 they are nice. Also replaced the 6n1p with a 6sn7gt using the 6922 adapter and that was a nice upgrade. Will need to try the gold lion next.
Thanks for bringing our attention to the F5. Such a low price would normally lead me to dismiss it out of hand. It's low wattage makes high sensitivity speakers a requirement. Something like my Omega Super 3i single driver monitors @ 8 Ohm / 94dB sensitivity would be a great match. Another possibility is Caintuck Audio's 'Betsy" Open Baffle Speakers. Pairing the Omega's with Veri-Fi Audio's 'Caldera' 10" sub @ $199.00 would provide the basis for a fine little budget system. In keeping with the F5 amp's extreme affordability, the Schiit Saga 2 @ $279.00 might be a better budget choice VS the Jungson JA-1 Class A Preamplifier @ $746.00. While replacing the F5's power cord and fuse would, along with the other mods, further raise the F5's fidelity.
No, it's been out for about 3 years. I think Ali might have the Boyuusound branded one. But again, I don't know if the inside is the same. Check out @oldguyhifi review of that one.
I bought mine back in July. EBay also had that but it was $100 more at the time. I don't know if they still carry it or if it is still available but you might want to check that out
Hey do you think it would be possible at some point to do a video showing how you bypass the volume pot and hooked up your RCA connectors.? This is a very intriguing mod I have done it with a clone amp before but only after watching a video
I don't think it's enough for a full video but pretty much just follow the 3 wires that go into the potentiometer and the 3 that go out of it and solder the black to black, red to red and white to white. Then the signal isn't going through the pot but is also not attenuated so make sure the signal coming in isn't full 2v! Thanks for watching 👍
I agree with 100%. I thought I dug in deep. Wow! What a great video my friend.
Thanks Ed! I love this thing!

Very cool! Yeah, it's an awesome little amp. I hope more people get to listen to it. And I think the price is more than fair. Thanks for watching 👍
Thanks for the review. Those capable of mods can tackle them. Which is really cool.
Thanks for watching, again! 👍
Great review and advice never bought a douk amp but may do now
Thanks for watching 👍
A very nice review and some interesting mods. I will have to try the cap mod at some point.
If your speakers are already on the bright side, try the Copper Foils instead of Aluminum Foils. And thanks for watching 🙏👍

Yeah, a 10" sub would work well to fill in the bottom. Thanks 👍
Thanks for review. Is it a new product? I can't find it on ali.

Can you make a sound test comparison????
Compared to what?
@RickRuizAudio other amps
Sure. I'll do some soon!
So how much with all them mods ? Its not $300 anymore is it ..
No, but like I said, you don't have to make the mods. It sounds great as is. This video just shows you options.
Cool mods!
Thanks!! And thanks for watching!
