All through American history improvement in technology always precipitates massive war. Seems like a solid pattern

America had always been a land of immense transformative power. The industrial revolution of 1750 in Europe had only occurred because America was feeding The Crown all of the industrial resources. The founding fathers had seen this hence, the reason for the the revolution (not a silly stamp tax). Oddly, Canada which still had ties to The Crown long after America, had not really impacted the revolution the way America had.

Finift enamel jewelry and Faberge eggs come to mind. Silver work was big in Russia around the time of the 1850s too😊

Also, it took America an additional 50 years to kick the French out of the country, by completing the Louisiana Purchase in 1803. That is to say, the french owned the middle of the United States of America. Nothing could be built continuously because it was another country. The population of the United States was also tiny compared to the EU. Also, couple that with what is a "scientist". Certain Native Americans would certainly qualify. Crop rotation, environmental management. - sans degree.

Today South Carolina is a non-union "right to work" state attracted Boeing. Slaves were simply "Cheap labor" end of story - nothing to do with anything else - Maine did not have huge plantations and no MIT engineers inventing steam tractors, if they did slaves would be a huge economic cost and this is all nonsense. Economic facts decide everything. England and Europe bought slave products without having to have the slaves. Darwin was a genius. This Prof. is stating nonsense, rare at MIT.
