If you missed the schedule update on the community tab or discord, because The Walking Dead is back for the season 10 finale, there will be just one episode of Ozark this week. We will be back with 206 & 207 next week.
Walter let his ambition get the better of him. Marty knows how to stay low key. Marty's flaw is like he said, poor judge of character. Ruth, Wendy, Bruce, Del and Rachel's betrayals
Walter had been living a subdued life and was unhappy with his life for years so when giving the he got cancer and started cooking meth and fell into a criminal life style he really went down the rabbit hole. And even in situations when he knows he shouldn't say anything or shouldn't risk doing something risky he can't help himself. Marty doesn't have a big ego and since Oxark started he has been fighting for his families survival. Walt thought he was gonna die and wasn't fighting to live(until certain situation arose) So that's why they act differently but there are also similarities in their characters too. I would like someone to do an analysis of Ruth and Jesse and compare them
Waterboarding is very scary and a dangerous torture that simulates drowning, and even harden adults crack under it, and yes they tortured children...Drug Cartels have no limit for how far they'll go!
Part of the reason on why that scene where Helen is talking to Marty is so dramatic is because Helen is pushing Marty to do something about the Snell poppies. That zoom in on Helen tossing her cigarette is foreshadowing Buddy tossing the flare to burn the poppies.
My grandpa was the same on his death bed as the guy in the story Buddy was telling. All my family was here from all over the country. We were in and out all visiting him for 3 days. Finally one day we decided to all go back to my grandma's and have dinner before going back. 10 minutes after we all left we got the call that he died. After doing some research, even though he wasn't able to talk and was almost comatose, it was likely that he was still hyperaware of our presence and there were several times we thought he was gone then he'd start breathing again almost like he didn't want to die in front of us
Nikki and Steven: This show is crazy, Stressing me out, This is tense Me: Still laughing from the love sausage scene in the last Boys reaction Great reaction to this episode though👍👍
N+S, I just love that you fell hard into OZARK...This show is brilliantly written and directed. The way that they work tension points like a horror movie, mixed with a family drama, all wrapped up in a crime story is amazing. I love seeing your experience . After this..you HAVE TO watch 'RAISED BY WOLVES' on HBO...its amazing...I'm hooked.
Thanks for the message Danny. After this and Boys there’s Bly Manor, Mandalorian, Expanse, Better Call Saul, Cobra Kai, Vikings and many other legacy shows returning. Will be a bit before we have a slot to explore a new show.
its well written, but the fact they keep killing the best characters i think is a flaw. they manuouver the writing in order to kill the best characters. to subvert expectations. Killing Del was a mistake. and this many deaths in a small place like that. since Marty arrived. the amount of people going missing. just not realistic.
@danny really? i got sick to my stomach, which is very rare. i don't see nikki tolerating that show well. but i'm trying to push thru cause i paid hbo. but i about quit after some sick scenes.
I absolutely love both your reactions to this TV show! Man, it's like reliving it again through you. I relate so much. Wonderful entertainment, Nikki and Steven!
I am so enjoying re-watching this series through your eyes! I would love to recommend Wentworth for future possible shows? It's just wrapping up its eighth season, but, damn, It's so amazing and would not disappoint! :) Love your channel. :)
Petty is trying to make everyone in enough fear for their lives from both the cartel and him to get his way. No matter how crooked it is. You can see his constant desperation always pulling at straws because as you said he truly sucks ass at his job. Having that happen to Ruth was intentional to do exactly what Wendy said. Divide within. Planting doubt, mistrust lack of loyalty within all of them as well as the cartel with them and the Snell's. They are now all currently at odds. So even if he didn't get what he wanted it was still enough to shake everyone up in hopes that people will fuck up and give him something to work with. Something solid.
You guys talking about a realistic portrayal of cop techniques and how to deal with being arrested made me think of The Wire. It’s fantastic and still my top show of all time (and I love Ozark and many others). Hope you guys might consider checking it out. For whatever reason it’s not a popular one with reactors it seems. But in the end if you face some trouble, just repeat “lawyer” over and over for eternity and say nothing else. The First 48 show is also a testament to this strategy.
Another awesome reaction, Nikki & Steven. I'm sad that there are only 15 more reactions until you two are caught up. Then we all can wait for the final seasons { SE4 } 14 episodes together.
I go back n forth between Wendy and Marty as my favorite overall character, but then Ruth comes on screen and I'm like "fuck..." lol. Not a lot of shows do that to you, and when a show can accomplish that (like GoT, Breaking Bad, etc), then you know that show is good.
The way that Wendy looks at Buddy now compared to the when she first met him, shows the true nature of her character...and his. 17:49 - 17:52 I see someone remembers _The Godfather._ When I heard Agent Evans talk about Petty's psych evaluation, I said to myself 'I knew it!" There is no way that man should have passed any psych eval, let alone, the FBI's. I couldn't handle them hurting Ruth. 😨 And the way she looked at Marty after....wow. 😢 I like how this show changes the heavy villain from one episode to the next. One episode you're terrified by Del, then the next episode is Jacob, then Darlene, the next one is Petty, then Helen, and so on and so forth. They're all terrifying in each episode, but one of them takes top tier in each. This one, I feel it was Petty. THE WALKING DEAD, BABY!!!! YAAAAHHHH!!!!!!! Can't wait. 🤗🤗 Thanks you two. Stay safe. 😊🌺🏝️❤️
Hi,i'm Brazilian,i liked your content because i liked the react you from game of thrones watching all the episodes,i want one day to have the pleasure of meeting you,i'm only 13 years old🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
I don't see anything wrong or knife turning about Marty saying maybe he's not the best judge of character. He trusted his partner Bruce. Wendy didn't just cheat once, she lead a double life and withdrew all their money when the shit hit the fan. In truth, he doesn't actually know Ruth. It's only been a few months. Rachel was nice and wanted to run a clean business but when temptation hit took the money and ran while also becoming a junkie. All things considered, he isn't actually the best judge of character.
I'd like to submit the Korean drama Stranger (also known as Forest of Secrets) for the replacement to Ozark when the crime drama mood swings by. Season 2 just finished and it was dang hype. Nikki and Steven seem to have shown they can enjoy these more cerebral shows! It's on Netflix in America iirc.
Police can lie directly to someone whom they suspect of a crime, as well as other people with secondary or tertiary connection to the crime. The better you understand your rights, the better you can determine if police violated those rights during an investigation or an arrest. Police lie for a number of reasons. The first and most obvious is to create a sense of urgency in a suspect that can promote honesty when they might otherwise withhold information. Beyond that, police officers may say certain things to a suspect in order to build rapport, which means they want the suspects to trust them. Lying about what the officer believes happened or what kind of evidence the police have is a common tactic to undermine someone’s story or get them to comply with the wishes of the police. Although it is against the law for people to give false statements to the police, the same is not true for law enforcement. They can and do lie to both suspects and others during criminal investigations without any sort of consequence. (MattoxLaw, April 2020)
A pretty simple example would be something like "Your buddy is in the other room, and he's talking. You better give me something good now or he's going to be the one getting the easy deal and you're screwed" while the "buddy" is also refusing to talk. We see it in Breaking Bad with Mike when Gomez claims they have a witness who can place Mike in the underground lab, but Mike calls his bluff.
As far as Rachel reporting Petty. Yes, technically he should not do that and should be disciplined or fired for it. Anything obtained by Rachel should be considered "fruit of the poisonous tree. Except Rachel isn't exactly thinking with a clear brain. She has the beat down terrified mixed up junkie brain that often believes anything that confirms they are trapped and worthless.add to that how often law enforcement gets away with stuff even on camera, she probably doesn't want to get into a he said she said situation. She has no idea if his department would care about him being bad or maybe they might be even worse.
'Clean' money has a legitimate source - or the appearance of a legitimate source. 'Dirty' money does not. For example: you make money doing illegal stuff. One way of cleaning the money would be to have it pass through a cash heavy business and then generating fake receipts for fake customers that used cash to pay for their car wash - and then you deposit the dirty money, along with the clean money.
And you end up losing a percentage of it in the end after taxes, etc. That's why Marty questions Del wanting him to launder money that's already "clean."
Marty is just so good with business and handling money but Wendy is so skilled with people and human nature, the way she reads people and calls bluffs. When they work together, they’re the ultimate duo.
Halftime. 5 more til season 3 oh goodie. Nikki I like that hoodie you had on last episode. Season 2 is not really my favorite but now you see why Wendy is my fav.
An expert could not comment because they'd be dead. Marty would not have lived beyond the first episode. But, if he had lived and somehow this was an actual true story, well then, everyone has failed in doing the right thing.
To me Marty is innocent. I believe he would be out in a second if he could. HE and (Wendy agreed to go along) made a bad decision to be Dells financial advisor and NOW he is just forced to do all that he is to keep he and his family alive. At the same time I think he does want to try and save Ruth, Rachel and all that he got involved.
I'm assuming Nikki was referring to Walter White with the "it's all your fault" discussion in the beginning? Totally disagree. There are distinct differences. Walter had a good idea of what he was getting into. In the flashback episode of Ozark last season, you can see that Marty clearly didn't fully know what he was getting into until the guy's eyes got taken out and by then it was way too late. Walt as time went by was more and more in it for himself as much as he was in it for his family. Marty is not it for selfish reasons or to stroke his own ego. It's merely so he and his family can survive something he can't turn back the clocks on.
Military family is all good and all (vet here)... But, knowing your rights, especially your 4th Amendment rights, are critical... Abide by your 5th (shut the hell up), get a lawyer, make sure your 4th is observed (any little thing cops or feds do could potentially get "evidence" thrown out) and let your lawyer do most, if not all, of the talking... Mind you, I only minored in Criminal Justice, and I support the cops and feds 100%... But only if they do things in line with the US Constitution... They are an authority, a rep of the government, so the burden of proof is on them... But, criminals will mess up easily and I will never support riots or rioters... The moment you use violence is the moment you lose support... Thus, I do not, and will never, support BLM or Antifa... EVER! In fact, I condemn both of those groups! They use violence in their protests, then they went against the US Constitution... They are traitors to this country and traitors deserve death!
@@NoOne-sq4et What I meant was that Marty was not involved in stealing the cartels money. His Buddy got this whole mess started with Del by stealing the money.
After watching the last VOD I went back and rewatched the rest of season 2. Up until now I have been hesitant to make the comparison with Breaking Bad, but now IMHO I think that Ozark is a better TV show. The characters feel more real and the show itself maintains a level of tension that I don't Breaking Bad did. I dunno, maybe I have to go back and watch Breaking Bad again, but I honestly, I don't wanna. I like the show but not enough to watch it twice.
i think yall should watch a scene and then react to it instead of trying to figure out whats happening and what the consequences will be AS the scene is going. a lot of times u guys just miss the mark cus u judge way too early, instead of just watching the whole scene, or at least the majority of it, and then formulating ur thoughts.
I just finished unsubscribing, this channel sure has taken a turn from their original fan base. GoT and Breaking Bad reactions to shows people have never even heard of. This channel sure is different.
WizardPancakes umm this show and the other show were both requested and voted on by the community... they’re both good, you should watch them. Thanks for the sub while you were here ✌️
I've been meaning to leave this comment for awhile but Steven I just wanted to tell you that you really do an amazing job at editing these. I notice it more w/ Breaking Bad because I remember a lot of the dialouge and you do such a good job of cutting out the parts that are superfluous and leaving just enough of what's really important. So yeah that's all. Hope ya'll are doing well 👍✌

Marty is a laid back dude. Quite unlike Walter.
Walt is classic Coke a Cola, Marty is like a Mountain Dew or Sprite
Erika S we all are 😒
Walter let his ambition get the better of him. Marty knows how to stay low key. Marty's flaw is like he said, poor judge of character. Ruth, Wendy, Bruce, Del and Rachel's betrayals
Yeah, Walter had a huge ego and lust for control, power and recognition, Marty doesn't has a ego, he has a mission, survival of his family.
Walter had been living a subdued life and was unhappy with his life for years so when giving the he got cancer and started cooking meth and fell into a criminal life style he really went down the rabbit hole. And even in situations when he knows he shouldn't say anything or shouldn't risk doing something risky he can't help himself.

So that's why they act differently but there are also similarities in their characters too.

Wendy, Marty's partner and Marty those are their fault.
