    Now that Disney has made their final decision not to rehire James Gunn, who is on your list of potential GOTG VOL. 3 directors?

      I kind of feel like pointing out they’ll be keeping James Gunn’s script is almost a moot point. All Gunn turned in was a draft that he was going to re-write anyway and when they hire a new director it’s highly likely Gunn’s script will be heavily re-written to the point where it’s almost a different script. They might keep the general story outline the same but I’d be hard pressed to believe that a lot of elements of Gunn’s vol. 3 draft will still be in tact when the new vol.3 director(whoever it will be) starts principal photography. I expect a major overhaul of the script.
      They’ll still use his script(which is just a draft he turned in) as a starting point for the film instead of starting completely from scratch but I bet very little survives of his script survives the re-writes.

      None. James Gunn or I'm out. Any other director would be insane to take this job when both fans and cast don't want them there from the get-go.

      I can watch that last 4 minutes of GotG2 over and over and cry every time. Talk about tough shoes to fill... I don't envy the director who tries it.

    Alan horn has shown nothing but incompetence throughout this entire sad chapter, I wasn't expecting that to change overnight. The MCU will never be the same.

    Honestly the only directors I would accept at this point are The Russo Brothers, but I don't know if they would be interested.

    This is a no-win position for any director who comes in. Unless it is a desperate first time director, there is no positives to being the director of GotGv3. Can you imagine the press coverage? "Does this movie lack the sparkle of a Gunn film?" "Would the box office/reviews have been better if Gunn directed it?" And cast having to answer the questions about the letter they wrote? And any questions for them comparing the new director to Gunn? And imagine the new director being presented at a Comic-con like event only to have the crowd boo them, with the possible 'We want Gunn' chants. Seriously, no established director will want to touch this film.

      RavensWolves are 100% sure about that even this tiki guy?

      Unless Gunn asked him to do it, what would Taika gain? Does he want the "Who did it better" comparisons? Does he want to field the Gunn questions during live interviews? Does he want to work with a cast that would prefer Gunn? I am guessing the answer is no.

    I think that this was a compromise. His script is being kept and that really is the most important thing.
    Gunn will easily find work elsewhere.

      Obosi Porno hub would employ him with pleasure. Big studios will steer clear)

    • @bashirgenius12
      @bashirgenius12 5 лет назад +2

      Obosi Maybe someday. But no time soon. Don't believe the rumors of many studios trying to hire Gunn. His name is way too hot right now (not in a good way) and any studio willing to hire him now would also have to deal with the baggage attached to his name. Yes DC did approach Gunn for a film but it was way before he was hired by Disney.

      You know he'll be fine because there was no reason to fire him in the first place.

    Well the good news is that they’ll still keep his script, so it’s not a total waste. Besides, he could still come back for another film in the future. Don’t blame Disney for this guys, blame the alt right and the people who got trump in the White House.
