Something was lost in translation and the instructions unclear on how to mount the motor. Mounts in the side using the supplied screw and piece of metal to hold it in place.
I just bought a new one. They sell a new chrome motor with a blue plastic mount it works fine. I suggest putting one of the pasta cutting attachments as a counter weight when using the roller. Thanks for posting this.

where can i buy the steel support for the engine?
It comes with the motor but don't think they're in production. Try ebay or find someone to bend a strip of metal for you.
