I like to add you sound much better with out your mic
Agree. If he could apply a slight bit of compression keeping it clean would be even better but imo it's good like it is.
Sort of reminds me of an old IBM Selectric typewriter.
I would've connected the power cable and made sure it worked. Just cause it's new doesn't mean it'll work! Great job, Kenny!

For that little black screw cover I use a lump of that 'sticky putty' you use to put posters on walls, (called Blu-Tack in the UK). It's sticky enough to get the cover lined up and soft enough so you can push through it clicking it into place. I will admit mine's not blue anymore.
That's a good idea. I wasn't thinking about it, Dum dum tape (in the US) when I did the repair, but it would have come in handy. Thanks for your reply & watching. Keep wrenching 🔧
Great DIY latch replacement video. Although, I would have not used Dorman as a replacement part. I would have used a genuine MOPAR replacement door latch…….
I've seen this on a number of vehicles. Mostly on back doors of VW Jettas . I too suffer from big fat fingers. The curse of the big guy !
I have performed this task many times on a 2006 Chrysler Town and Country sliding side doors and it is very annoying to do. You did a great job brother Kenny!
This reminds me that I have to look at my door lock. The key feels mushy in it when I turn it (driver's door) and does nothing, but when operating it with the remote, it works fine. I think something might have sipped out of it's holder (one of the metal rods perhaps). It's also a secondary car, so I'm not really in a rush to fix it :P
Nice job on this one. Yea, car locks can be a "puzzle", or a PITA.
I notice when you were putting the latch before you put those screw did not engage those plastic clips on sheet metal
another helpful video from my favorite You Tube mech. Keep wrenching Mr K
No moisture plastic barrier in the door panel?
I remember manual door locks ! Those were the good O'L. days !
I remember the time when we did not bother to lock our cars
Good info; somewhat surprised you didn't test it before putting /all the trim back on?
Hey Kenny!
That lock seems to have an identity crisis. 🤔
It wants to be a sewing machine! 😁
Mike in San Diego. 🌞🎸🚀🖖
😂😂😂 you're not wrong!
Some of those door panels are a pain in the butt some have screws hidden in the bottom and you have to take the whole panel off I'm not a mechanic by trade but I do work on cars a lot of the videos are helpful
How much does that job cost?
How is Ms. Meg doing?
Gotta love door locks. Don't forget it's a cluster @@@@..
Your wealth of knowledge is amazing.
Good evening Mr Kenny hope y'all had a good Monday.Had a lot of crap going on today so I'm pooped 😊thank you for another great video sir
Thanks Kenny
Excelent Video Kenny
maybe it has a glock auto switch on it?
My dogs step on the power window switch when they see me coming out of the store and the locks unlock. They even rest on the horn button.
My wife has been locked out of her vehicle numerous times because of the lap dog hitting the door locks! Lol
Loving each new video, Kenny.
More useful tips by Kenny. Stay tuned!
Don't forget to "hit the pace car" lol
Nice Job
The rods are colored to clips most of the time from ram and dodge
I'm curious on what's causes those latches to turn into machine gun 😂.,
😂 Right?!
Do you find yourself narrating the rest of the details of your life?
“What am I working on, now? I’m working on grilling a steak. So, here’s what you do. Get the steak out of the refrigerator….”
😂 not yet! I sure do mumble a lot, though. Thanks for making me laugh out loud! Keep wrenching 🔧
It’s in full auto mode. Switch it to single shot mode
Each little piece and each rod and bracket was meticulously drawn on a computer, specified and submitted to inspectors, fabricated and packaged, and assembled as a sub component, and packaged to fit hundreds of thousands of a specific model car. We complain about the cost.
Ugh. Dorman. That will fail in 3 months if it lasts that long. Learned the hard way using Dorman lock actuators and blend door actuators. They're garbage. OEM is the only way to go on that kind of stuff.
What are we working on now?
😂
bad sound. but video was great
😂 it's like the useless machine
Never seen a Toyota do this
I have
@@MajorWeakness really? What year and make of Toyota?
