      Banish all the non-dunmer, keep argonians and khajiit to work & produce more people but banish them when they turn out non-dunmer.

      Use argonians and khajiit for the bulk of the labor force so the great houses (ideally the sixth house and tribe unmourned) can do the things they want to do.

    I feel like a lot of people forget how fallout shelter was when it came out. I do think fallout shelter came out feeling more complete, and was added on to in a way that made it a huge time sink for me. But there was still a little bit if time when the game was new that you couldnt do so much. Elder scrolls castles is still that same fun feel, albeit lacking in content and i hope it gets expanded upon. In shelter i remember always expanding and not having enough people to make the space feel lived in, but in castles you can have so many people, but you cant build multiple of the rooms until what im assuming to be late game. Im level 55 and cant make repeat rooms and am getting to 5he point of having lots oj jobless people. To make it work lore wise i have nobles jobless and commoners doing all the work, very castle like. But i would like to see more in the way of building and customizing the castle and would also realy like shelters wasteland and quest styling. I love the risk of sending your biggest boy out om days long adventures and risk them dying if you forget to check in on them over time. And with the way time progresses in game this sounds more fun but doesn't happen yet. All in all a very fun game and i hope it gets more over time

    I've played it for about an hour. I have criticisms about Fallout: Shelter. For Elder Scrolls: Castles, I wish you could send people out in the world to fight and retrieve weapons, armor, food, wealth, etc., like you could in Fallout: Shelter.

    • @Namugaseum
      @Namugaseum Месяц назад +1

      I’ve also played both and understand the desire to send subjects out on quests. While there isn’t quite that (yet), there are quests you can do to get items, armor and gold. They’re just not the “set it and forget it” type.

    Level 64 so far here, I loved Fallout Shelter and spent countless hours on it, I'm also a huge fan of the Fallout and Tes series, so I admit that I have already spent so MUCH fucking hours in this game in so few days, and even if I have to pause more (don't worry for me I will get out from this isolation, I'm only really happy for this game ahahaha) I have to say that the lore you can build is a drug that I didn't know I needed, I have many little stories in my mind about the personality and relationships between single characters or families, a lot of good and bad stuff happening (like the father of my king fucking the queen), it's also nice to decorate and like seeing each other doing their stuff. I like the combat system, but I prefer the Fallout Shelter way for doing sidequests (hope there will be something lore based and better unique prizes), also the way you make materials and stuff is a bit confusing but still works, I enjoy it. So far I'm really glad for this game, let's see what they will do in next updates

      I’m glad you’ve had a great experience with it so far! I’m really excited to learn more about the family trees and stuff and see what happens when I crown a new ruler and whether they are in/outside the family that I originally picked. That’s so wild to hear about the king’s father, 😭 I bet that dialogue is wild.
      I still need to get familiar with making materials since I haven’t unlocked everything yet, but hopefully if I can get a good understanding on them, I can make a video better explaining them!

      @ralumartin 2 месяца назад

      @@hannah_the_hermit speaking about that I think dialogues or/and plot dinamics are one of the weakest points this game presents so far (as I saw), like, sadly it wasn't so wild like I also tought, the king and his father only have became rivals each other... Nothing more. At least my imagination works for itself 😄 btw I'll follow future content about this game, so if you wanna do something more about it like you said, I'm on it 🙌

    I just wish I could choose which land I was starting in. However, it makes me now want such a feature built into ES6. The game overall is great, but I don't like is if supposed to be Hammerfell. Should be mostly just Redguards. Which man I have so many Orcs. Ironically, the recent ruler is Breton mainly due to a Breton killing the Imperial ruler who started the game. Which I didn't realize that if you make someone mad enough they will kill you. That was so unexpected. So I liked the idea that your character legit could be killed at any given point if someone didn't like you at all. It would be interesting to see that thrown in as a mechanic. Perhaps start off as an adventure, but this time one who actually settles into the lands we will be living in for 6. The player then even with god mode on they can still be killed as it is a cut scene in the event that character has come to hate you and you hadn't killed or exiled them. Which, my first ruler was pretty bad. I had people working as their ghost. So they couldn't even get time off if they died.

    It is fun at first, gwts repetitive pretty fast, but it is early days. Amd just like fallout shelter i can see that more will come to this game.
    It definitely needs much more depth as it is very easy right now.
    Needs more customisation options, added features, and more variety of choices.
    Id hope they dont move to a pvp mode at any point as it would kill off a lot of players that dont pay to play. But as for now its fun, it definitely isnt a pay to win game, everything is easy to get, upgrade and level up early days.
    Level 63 and haven't spent a penny or a gem. If it improves drastically id be willing to support it financially.

      That's what I was thinking! I've heard a lot of people saying it's pay-to-win, but I hadn't had any issues personally (I am still low-level though). Just needing to spend more time dedicating to the game, and that's fair if that's something that people don't want to do. I don't personally love PVP so I hope it doesn't shift to that, here's to hoping that you can continue to enjoy the game (for free, too!)

    I got to lvl 77 and 10 years into my reign. Spent 7 dollars or so. It started great but becomes increasingly tedious. Got old having to keep people happy. Everything becomes very much just more of the same without anything changing in the game. The way they monetize is awful too. Half the huge hard earned rewards for leveling up are locked behind a pay wall.
    This reviewer didn't play it nearly enough and it sounded like a spokesperson for Bethesda.

    I wish it told you what the decision you make is going to do. There's some quest where you can either burn down a farm infested with fire or make the forest off limits. Didn't know the right one to pick but got everyone mad when I picked to close it off. Also maybe I'm asking too much but I wish the armor looked different instead of all looking like the same plate armor. Like the Dawnguard armor just looks like the plate armor. The music is really relaxing though, reminds me of oblivion

    They really fumbled the ball on this one. They could've made a 3D open world game that was at least a little closer to that of the actual elder scrolls game series.

    • @hannah_the_hermit
      @hannah_the_hermit  Месяц назад +2

      I wish it had more of TES: Blades style. Blades was very structured in the sense that it only had so many generated dungeons, outdoor environments, etc., but it still felt way more open than the 2D experience. It all comes down to preference though, I know some people really love the 2D style!

  • @jeth3540
    @jeth3540 2 месяца назад +1

    I enjoyed it way better than Fallout Shelter, mainly for the flavor and environment. The ruling events were really fun but like others have said repeat very often. It's actually funny, if you choose the most "socialist" choice, it's very easy to keep your entire populace (both races and class levels) happy and healthy. Probably the most annoying part for me was the material gated behind the fight quests (which was the most boring and repetitive part of the game for me). Finding out i needed to finish 50 (50!) quest missions before unlocking steel ingots made me quit very fast.
    All in all: a fun, albeit repetitive, time suck.
